CHAPTER ONE - THE BOY JINHAI
Once upon a time in a town called Kakamucho, there lived a boy named Jinhai.
Jinhai had a family that was good. His loving mother who never stopped smiling, his younger brother Yong and his younger sister Lijuan and they were all headed by their father Mei.
They all lived a normal and peaceful life in Kakamucho but their joy was too good to last. Father Mei went on a journey but was unable to come back early. Well, he came back, but not with his consciousness and life. He was brought back dead to his family. RAHAM the Great wizard killed him.
RAHAM. OH - uh - ah Raham. The Great wizard that troubled Kakamucho for three centuries - three hundred and eighty nine years, five months and thirteen days to be specific. the people of Kakamucho had always lived under the fear of Raham who struck at unexpected times.
Raham was so powerful that all the wizards in Kakamucho and the neighbouring villages tried to get him but all to no avail. He killed them all one by one.he had successfully threatened and tormented anyone the reign of nine kings who had all bowed to the pressure from him. The Great king Lin who tried to confront him was dealt with severely: he ended up as a leper. He laughed hysterically whenever he tormented them. That was the antics of Raham the great and fearless wizard.
Following the death of Jinhai's father, his mother was taken by his uncles in an attempted to coerce her into marrying one of them but she refused so she was locked up. Jinhai had to take care of his siblings but that was not difficult as they stood by each other in either thick or thin. He was easily bullied by his age mates They would beat him up and collect all he had except for when an elder was quick to intervene.
Jinhai was walking on the streets one day when he was already lost in his thoughts.
"Hey boy". A taller boy jerked at him.
Jinhai ignored him and tried to go on his lonely way. He stood at Jinhai's front to stop him. Jinhai tried to pass another way but the boy knocked him down. He fell down. He tried to stand up but the other bullies were also around and they were about to collect his money when a man about his father's age surfaced.
"Hey, you stupid boys." He charged at them and they ran away on fright.
He gazed at Jinhai with mercy. He helped him up and tried to help him dust his clothes.
"You are Mei's son, aren't you?" The man asked rhetorically. Of course he knew.
"Yes sir. I am his son".
"Don't mind those bullies". The man said.
"Take". Said the man as he handed some cash to him.
Jinhai was grateful. "Thank you sir". He said, bowing his head in in gratitude.
"You are welcome boy". The man said and left . Jinhai also decided to continue on his way before the bad boys come back to finish what they had started with him. He walked into the house with a morose expression as if he was robbed.
He walked up to his brother Yong.
"You can't believe it". He told Yong.
"I know it's that you almost got beaten by those thugs but someone shows up to your rescue". He said with indifference.
"You're good at guessing and besides the person gave me some money and he recognized me". He said dipping his hands into his pocket to bring out the money.
" But it isn't good to keep making yourself vulnerable to the bullies. You need to get away from their grip. You have to defend yourself like I do." Yong complained
"I even wonder how you are going to face Raham if he engages you in a fight". Yong continued.
Jinhai got angry instantly.
"He has gone too far by killing our father and I promise that I am going to cut off his head one day ". He said furiously.
"Seriously brother, is this how you are going to face Raham the Great in a battle?" Yong said, reminding him that he couldn't defend himself among his peers.
Jinhai was speechless. He went into his room and locked the door upon himself. His brother was right. Even the mighty ones who tried have failed. He needed methodology. He needed ideas, innovation and one more thing - oh that wad skill. He needed to have it even before challenging Raham.
