Hiding in the Shadow

It is an afternoon cloudy day of september when I was lying under in the big tree on my favorite place here at school. It's our break time so I went straight here to rest because my next teacher is have sick. So, I have 2 hours to sleep. I always go here every break time because this place always gave me a piece of mind. There is no students who went here so it's really quiet maybe they don't know that there is such a beautiful place behind the old building Or they just really don't want to go here because they found it creepy. If others avoiding this place because they scared of the old building While me, this is my favorite spot here in school. Because When I am here I feel calm and safe and no one can hurt me. I found out about this place when elle's group was chasing me . I don't know what I did to her why she is so mad at me. I just know that she started to get mad at me when one day ethan sat beside me during lecture. Ethan is one of the heartthrob in our school he's my classmate and very kind to me he always help me in mathematics everytime i didn't undestand the lessoned. I was starting to avoid him when elle threatened me that she will hurt me when she see ethan sit beside me again. We were in the last subject that time when the group of ethan entered the room. He immediately looked for me and when he saw no one is beside me, he smiled and sat next to me. I can't stop him because our teacher is starting to count for our quiz 2 and also that's the only vacant seat in the room. I slowly looked at elle and saw how mad she is i just looked away and focus in my paper. So, after class i stand up in a immidiately before I could get out of my seat , Ethan grabbed my arm and said we went out together. In the corner of my eye I saw elle's group standing in the door because I was afraid of what they would do to me i did not wait for ethan i heard him calling my name as i walked in the other door. When I came out I heard elle's group calling my name instead to lookback I ran faster when I i go downed of our building I turned around and saw elle's group chasing me. I ran to the left because when I went straight to the gate they can cornered me I ran again when I saw that they are still chasing me. I turned right to the old building and ran again I hide behind the wall I waited a few more minutes before looking again to see if their group was there. A few minutes later and they still did not show up, I sat where I was stand and my tears started to flow my heart is beating so fast that i needed to inhale just to breathe properly. When I calmed down I'd see where I was large trees surrounding this area there is a table and chairs on the side this place is so quiet that you can only hear the noise of the leaves in the trees like they are dancing because in the force of wind. At first i hesitant to came here again but one day during breaktime elle humiliate me in the canteen and says how s**t I am like my mom. I was hurting so much that time i can't think a place that i can go where no student can see me hurting so I thought of going in this place. After that day always i go here during my breaktime or if we don't have a teacher this place witnessed how much i suffered everyday. I woke up when my wristwatch rang i looked at my watch and saw the last subject is near I got up and stretched because I felt my back hurt from lying down for a long time. I'm in a hurry to go in the classroom because i don't want to be late i don't want others notice me. I entered the room as i looked down waiting for someone to threw a paper or notebooks at me as they always do every time i entered late i sat in my chair without receiving any paper or hash words from my classmates i looked up and saw my female classmates busy of putting make up on their face i looked around and saw that even the boys busy of putting a gel in their hair. Why they are all busy? Is there's have event? I know nothing will happen today huh! I looked at the group of elle, They are so busy doing their own make-up to the point that they didn't notice me. It's new i glanced at ethan when he entered the room he immediately smiled at me when he saw me he went to me and sat on the empty seat next to me. "Where have you been? I've been looking for you?" "Ahhm in the library" i lied because i don't want others know where i always go. I looked again of my classmates and couldn't stop my curiosity right now i glanced ethan to asked him "why they are all busy?" "The grade 10 students who will run this year as ssg officer will campaign." I frowned of what ethan said. Seriously? Is just that for, why they are all busy? You need to be thankful with that magi atleast right now your life is quiet "Why did abby just say to us a few hours before they're campaign. My god i am not prepared!" Ethan and i looked at elle when she spoke to her group of friend. She's not prepared really? she put a different types of make up on her face like she will attend the party but she's saying right now that she still not pepared. Really? Ethan shook his head and looked at me. "It's a good thing you didn't do make up." "Ahh yeah, I also don't know how to used make up" he smiled at me after i said that. I looked at the door and saw one of my female classmates enter the room "Guys! the grade 10 students are coming!" My female classmate shouted i frowned because i don't know of what is the exciting of campaign. The elle's group is on the front row seat. I glanced at my classmates one by one almost all the girls have a make up except me. I glanced at myself in the window glass in my side and saw how pale i am. I lick and bite my lips to make have a color i watched my self in the glass mirror of window, My hair is a little bit messy i ran my finger to my long natural black hair my skin is like a white paper i have a natural thick brows and long natural eyelashes that suits to my small eyes and also i am tall that's why almost everyone always got wrong at my age. my female classmates shouted so I looked at the door. I saw a group of grade 10 students entered in our room they are all eleven 4 boys and 6 girls. I stare the tallest girl among the five girls "Hi emerald you look so gorgeous! " One of my female classmates said i watched how she smiled to my classmates who are now praising her she's really a gorgeous her short brown hair made her look a bit more foreign. "You are still beautiful than her" ethan said next to me when he caught me watching the tall girl i bit my lip and looked down shyly my face heated when he chuckled of my reaction "Why do you have to run as ssg officer when you already won in my heart?" i looked up when i heard they laugh of what my boy classmates said. I glanced at the tall girl again who are now laughing. The way she ran his finger through his hair made her look more gorgeous but my eyes stopped to the man behind her. He looks serious as if it's hard to make him laugh his golden tan skin paired thick brows and thin grim lips made him perfect in my eyes. This is the first time i saw a man who had a perfect face as if you knew that he was God's favorite. I almost fell in my seat when he glanced at my way i looked down and played my fingers nervously. "Hi felly you looks so gorgeous today" "what is the brand your lipstick you are using rightnow jes?" Our classroom filled the questions of my classmates to them. I stunned when ethan wrapped his arm behind me and move closely to me to whispered something " look at jeremy face right now his face is already red because felle is in front of him" he laughed after he said that and back to his proper sit I looked for where Jeremy was sitting but my eyes fixed to the man who is now glaring me. His eyes drifted on ethan arm behind me his lips slightly rose and looked at me in the eyes he frowned and looked away. I watched how he looks angry when he look the speaker i smiled when i imagine how cute he is when his mad. the smokey brown eyes piercing through me made my heart stop for beating. I looked away and glanced the woman who is speaking in the front. I'm looking at the woman who was speaking but I did not understand what she was saying because in the corner of my eye I could feel the stare of a man that made me uncomfortable in my seat. My eyes went in front when i heard emarld turn to speak "Hi guys! I am Emerald Lopez from grade 10 section A running as Vice President i promise to all of you that i will do my best to help our president of the problem in this school i hope you gave me the chance to prove my self to all of you. Thankyou" everyone clapped their hands after she spoke even me got amazed the way she speaks confidently infront of many people. she only smiled after she said that and glanced to the man who is next to speak I heard my classmates giggled when they saw who was walking to the front. Everyone is watching his move that's why my heart beat so fast when he glanced my way before he speak " Good Afternoon!" the varitone of him filled in our room. "i am Rojer Grey Smith from grade 10 section A running as President I don't want to promise to all of you that i can remain the peace in this school but expect to me that i will do my best to be a good leader to all of you!" my lips parted a bit after he spoke his messaged is short but you can hear the power that was like a man speech with so much authority that if you didn't follow you will die. no one dare to speak maybe they are speechless too he glanced my way again before he turn around " I think im falling hard to you so much roj" when my female classmate broke the silent everyone laugh the smokey brown eyes piercing through me made my heart stop for beating. I looked away and glanced the girl who is speaking in the front. I was just looking at the woman who was speaking but I did not understand what she was saying because in the corner of my eye I could feel the stare of a man that made me uncomfortable in my seat. "I hope you give us a chance to prove our self to all of you. Thankyou for listinening guys!." The curly girl said. That is the only thing that i understand of her long speech "Don't worry abby, i will vote you i hope you can give me too a chance to court you" One of my boy classmate said " Ohhhh! Smooth philip! " my classmate teased philip after he said that everyone laugh, I can't help but smile along with them. "Wrong move philip her brother is a gangster" ethan said beside me "Maybe you want to go on the hospital" everyone laugh after ethan said that but my smile faded when i saw a man in front staring at me darkly he looked away when i caught him. "Thankyou again B1" the curly girl said before they go out in our room i swallowed hard when roj eyed my way again before he turn away. "Oh my ghad guys did you heard of what roj said!? He looked so handsome the way he talk" elle said to her friends and giggled her cheeks is very red right now. "My older brother also told me that he is also smart, especially in math and science" one of her friend said. Is that true? I don't like those two subjects because I'm having a hard time on that especially in math. " I also heard from those women talking in the comfort room that roj is kind too, he helps his classmates for free for those who do not understand the lesson and almost everyone who teaches him is his female classmates the others just pretending that they did not understand the lesson just to get closer to him" my eyes widened a bit "if he's also my classmate, I'll also pretend that I can't understand the lesson if that's the only way for me to get closer to him" melanie laughed after she said that. They just stop talking about roj when Mrs. Chen came. I did not understand anything in mrs.chen's lesson because of what i found out information about roj. I went home with that in mind even ethan asked me if I was fine when I didn't answer the recitation earlier. I go around in my bed it's twelve o'clock in the morning now but I still can't sleep usually at this time im lying on my bed and snoring but now I am still wide awake I stared at the ceiling as I remembered the last thing melanie said, If i am his classmate too? Do i pretend too that i can't understand the lesson to get close to him? Of course i will i stopped when i realized my answer. I close my eyes tightly and I rub my forehead what is happening to you magi you are not like this huh! Did I crush him? Tomorrow I will look for a book in the library i will look at what are the signs when you like someone but before that i want to sleep first please magi stop thinking of him!.
