16 Since he knew where they were going and which trains and so on to take, Ava let Gabriel handle that part of the preparations. At least, unlike her brother Tony, she actually had a passport. Not that she’d ever used it…or even really thought she’d ever have a reason or the courage to use it…but more because she’d wanted to have it on hand, her own private insurance in case she ever felt the need to run away, to leave the world that had been suffocating her behind.
