Bright lights and a loud motor break the serenity of his thoughts. An old, beat up truck skids to a halt in the gravel parking lot, and a large human male leaps out, leaving the engine running and the door open. He bursts through the waiting crowd, past the hostess stand, and up the stairs, heading straight for the Congresswoman’s party. Evan doubts he’s there for an autograph.
