It was the evening of the next day. We were at Sues. I had to go tonight, but Bella, with other healers, will join us tomorrow. My bag was at the front door and we were all in the kitchen waiting for my ride.
I just held AJ and looked at all of them. I knew that only Alex knew that this was the last time together. So I tried to take it all in. Christina tried to cheer us up with some funny stories about work colleges and I heard Sue laugh for the first time since we were back. I tried to remember their faces and just take it all in, for the last time. AJ got sleepy and Sue took him away from me. Before that, she gave me a big hug.
She hugged me with AJ in her hands and whispered
