Aiyanna POV:  Senior year, it was supposed to be the best year of my life. I was supposed to get drunk, flirt with all the cute guys, do silly things with...Lucy. I wiped a tear away with my palm, but they just kept coming. They killed lucy, my beautiful, funny, heartwarming best friend. We've been best friends ever since I punched little tucker in kindergarten, because he kept teasing her. The memory made me smile a bit underneath all the tears, I had a lifetime of unforgettable memories with her and now she was dead. My hands started to shake, I literally watched a guy bite her neck, and then just dump her, like she was nothing. Everything went dark after that, and I woke up, chained to a wall, in what I supposed was a cellar. There was so dark in here, I couldn’t even see my hands. No matter how hard I tried, I couldn’t seem to get my eyes to adjust to the darkness. And the smell, it was awful. It Smelled like there was something rotten down here, and that mixed with the vague smell of blood, just made me want to vomit. I got more and more convinced that my kidnappers were cannibals, and that I was their next meal. A shiver ran through me, was that the sound of footsteps, I held my breath, and tried to listen, complete silence, you could easily hear a pin drop, and then… more footsteps, and they were getting closer. My heart started to beat so rapidly, I thought it was going to burst out of my chest, I tried getting it under control, but it was pointless, I was so scared. A knob got pulled down, and someone grabbed my arm. In what felt like a nano second, my chains were off, and I was being dragged along, by what seemed to be a man. His grip in my arm, were so tight, that my blood flow must've been cut off and he were holding my arm so high, that only my toes were touching the ground. I could barely keep up with him, and I kept stumbling in the dark. My captive didn’t seem to have any problems navigating, which was odd, because it was really dark. He dragged me into this huge white hall, it was so bright. The combination off the complete darkness I was in, and this extremely bright hall, made it impossible for me to see anything. I held my palm against my eyes, trying to cover for the light, and I noticed there were nothing in the room, except a single chair, right in the middle. It was no surprise when my captive, dragged me in that direction. He placed me in the chair, and put chains around my hands, feet and neck, like I was some dangerous animal, he was afraid would try to escape. My arm was rather sore, and there was no doubt that I was getting a bruise."Hello Aiyanna" A deep, calm voice said.    My neck hair started to rise, and I got chills throughout my entire body. I was trying to turn my head, to see who the voice belonged to, but the chain around my neck, prevented me from moving. I couldn’t even move an inch. I could hear him walking, but I couldn’t pinpoint from which direction he was coming, it seemed like he was everywhere. Every bone in my body were screaming for me to run, but I was stuck. A tall man, completely dressed in dark, entered my line of sight. He came out of the shadows. His hair was completely white, almost as white as snow, but there were no sign of any wrinkles in his face, it was completely smooth. His eyes were dark brown, almost black, I couldn’t find a single sign of any emotions in them, it was almost like they were dead.  "So… let’s get to it"  He rubbed his thin hands amongst one another.  "you'll give me what I want, and I'll promise not to kill you"  He sent me a thin smile and was obviously waiting for me to tell him what he wanted to hear. His confidence told me he was used to getting everything he wanted, and not by being polite. I was so terrified, and I would've gladly have told him everything he needed to know, as soon as I figured out what it was.  "What is it, that you want" I replied, with as much indifference as I could master, but if you paid attention, you could hear the fear in my voice.   He looked straight into my eyes, and his dark eyes, pierced mine "Don't play dumb with me, Aiyanna..." his voice was stone cold, and he seemed agitated.  "But I don't know..." He cut me off.  "If that’s how you want it, so be it" he sent me a sly smile and made a hand gesture.   Something hit me right across my face, I could taste blood and... something hit me again, and again. I heard myself scream in pain, and I could feel the blood dripping from my face, and they just kept going. After what seemed like hours, my strength started to slip up, I didn’t even have the strength to scream anymore, everything just felt numb at this point. I guess this was it, my life ended right here, right now. The last bit of strength I had left disappeared, and everything turned dark.  My head hurts, my body hurts, everything hurts. I tried to pull myself up, and off the ground, but my arms kept failing me. So eventually I just placed my head back on the stones that were supposed to resemble a floor and gave up. As I laid there, I noticed the dry blood clots in my long brown hair, there were bruises around my wrists from the chains that had retained me from running away and my hands were covered in old blood. How did I end up in this mess? They had placed me in a different cell this time, it wasn’t as dark as the previous. Based on the stones, that constituted my cell, this cell was old. The stones were dark grey, and some were even green. There was a single bed, further back, which I at the moment didn't have the strength to crawl to. Hours passed by, and I must've fallen asleep on the ground, because I was abruptly awakened when someone tore the door to my cell open. I instinctively crouched together to protect myself, but when they walked past me, I gathered enough courage to look up. I saw a man carry an unconscious women in. Instead of leaving her on the ground, like they did with me, they chained her to the wall, in the back of the cell. Her neck, feet and hands were all chained, and they left her hanging there lifelessly. Even though there weren't much light in the cell, I noticed her long hair was filled with blood clots and that she had bruises on the left side of her face. I couldn't really see much else, except the  blood that were running out of her mouth. She needed help, otherwise she was going to choke in her own blood. I tried to lift myself off the floor again, using all the strength I could conjure, and this time, I managed to get up. I saw a bucket with water in the corner of the cell and grabbed it, tore a piece of fabric off my dress and slowly made my way down to her. I tried to clear her airways, the best that I could, and removed as much blood as possible from her nose and mouth. I tried to force some water down her throat, to clear it even further of blood, but it just made her cough a lot.  "Are you trying to kill me?" A weak, hoarse voice asked. The girl looked up, and directly into my eyes. Her eyes were golden brown, and they looked tired.   "No, I'm saving your life" I said, a little more cold, than what I planned. "You were choking in your own blood".  "Oh, nothing else" She sent me a perky smile, before she closed her eyes again, and mumbled "Btw you don’t look to good yourself"   I started to laugh, that deep, heartfelt laugh, which were completely misplaced considering the situation we were in,  and it made my entire body hurt. But I just couldn't help it. The girl looked up at me,  "I'm Hailey" she said, with a smile upon her face.  "Aiyanna" I smiled back.  Hailey and I talked for hours, and it seemed like she was getting better. A lot of her bruises were gone, which were incredible, since mine were still there. Although, as Hailey were getting better, I was feeling worse, a lot worse actually.  "Hey there, are you okay?" Hailey sounded genuine concerned.   "I'm okay, just a bit tired. I just need to close my eyes for a while" I said, with a voice I didn't even recognize, it was so weak and hoarse.  "You hang in there, you hear me? we are getting out of here. They are going to save us. just hang in there" it was the last thing I heard before I passed out.   Hailey POV: Aiyanna didn't look good, her injuries were way worse than she first let on. Humans are so fragile. I tried calling her name, but she was already passed out. No matter how hard I tried to break these chains, nothing happened. I wasn't strong enough in my human form. a lot of footsteps caught my attention, and I could hear mumbling outside the door. By the sound of it, something was wrong. Three vampires barged in and immediately took Aiyanna.   "Don't you dare move her, she is injured, and could potentially die!" I heard myself scream at them.   The tallest of the vampires, looked directly at me with his cold eyes and sent me a cheesy smile, and said  "Kozani, kill the girl, she is no longer of use to us, and then join us in the basement"  He took Aiyanna and disappeared out the door.  Kozani turned against me, and his eyes where now blood red, and I knew I had no chance  as long as I was chained to the wall. He ran towards me, and milliseconds before he reached me, an agouti colored wolf jumped in and killed him, with a single bite to his neck.  "it's good to see you, Leah" I smiled   The wolf looked at me with her brown eyes and in an instant, she destroyed the chains, before she ran off. I knew I had to change into a wolf, if I wanted the slightest chance to save Aiyanna. Every bone in my body broke, like they had done a million times before, but this time, it hurt a lot more, due to my resent injuries. I changed into a golden brow wolf, with a white chest and underbelly. I ran out of the cell, and nearly collided with a huge, almost completely black wolf, only his underbelly was dark grey. He was two times bigger than me. He turned around and started to growl, until he noticed who he was growling at. We instantly linked through our thoughts.   "I'm so glad you're still alive, but I'm also furious at you, for pulling that stunt you did" he said, with a mix of relief and anger.   "I know, but Leah would've been dead, if they had caught her. I knew they needed me, which I hoped would buy me enough time, until you arrived"  I looked at him, and I could see in his eyes, he knew I was right.   "You’re safe now, and in the end, that’s all that matters"   He started running towards the stairs, which would lead us outside. It didn't take him long to notice I didn't follow. He turned his head and looked at me, waiting for me to join him.    "I'm sorry, there is someone I have to save first"    I bowed my head, so I couldn't see him, even in his wolf form, it wasn't hard to tell when he was angry, and I knew I just made him furious. And boy was I right.   "Are you completely out of your mind, Hailey? we are in a vampire den, it was risky enough to just come after you. And now you’re telling me, you want to go save a HUMAN, do you even hear yourself" He shouted!   "She saved my life Rhett, I would've drowned in my own blood, if it weren't for her, I owe her my life" I said with the most calm and steady voice I could master.    "As your Alpha, I forbid you to go after her" he said in a firm tone.    I looked at him, and then I ran off in the opposite direction. I had to find her. It took me a while to pinpoint Aiyanna’s scent, but when I did, it didn't take me long to find her. I caught the two vampires by surprise and got one of them down quickly. The other one leaped at me, and tried to break my neck, but he underestimated my strength, which gave me the upper hand and the opportunity to kill him. Aiyanna was still unconscious, which wasn't a good sign, but she was still breathing though. I tried to use my head to lift her onto my back, which wasn't as easy as I thought, but I managed to do it after a bit of hard work. I ran as fast as my legs could carry me, and it didn't take long before I had vampires following me. I was unfamiliar with this castle, so I ran in blindness, just hoping I would be lucky enough to find a way out. But I wasn't, I hit a dead end, and when I tried turning around, three vampires were blocking my way. I can take them; I know I can. There are only three. As I were prepared to jump at them, I heard someone clapping.  "Well done, Hailey, you almost got her out...almost"  I got chills all over my body, I knew that voice. It was Raphaels, the 5000 year old vampire king. He stepped out from the shadows, his long white hair, was pulled back in half an updo, and his dead eyes looked straight into mine. I wouldn't be able to take him on, he was too strong.   "Give me the girl" he said with his cold, demanding voice.   I looked back at Aiyanna, I couldn't do that. I started to back up, but I hit a wall, they had me backed into a corner.   "You dare defy me?" he said filled with rage. "You don't stand a chance"    As he said the last word, an agouti colored wolf, jumped on one of his vampires, and bit him in the neck. But by the time the wolf saw Raphael, it was too late, he lifted the wolf up by his neck, broke it and tossed him aside, like it was nothing. Every wolf in this hunting party felt their fellow pack member die. We are all connected to each other when we run as a pack, it gives us an advantage, to be able to communicate at long distances. Every single wolf in the vampire den were howling in grief of their fellow pack member, even me. Raphael smiled, and it almost seemed like, he was enjoying our pain. I spotted Rhett running towards Raphael from the far end of the hall, if anyone stood a chance against him, it would be Rhett. Furthermore, two other agouti colored wolves, came towards us from the left. Raphael looked at Rhett, and then at the two wolves and whispered, "This isn’t over, she will be mine" and then he went back into the shadows and disappeared. Rhett got to us first, he ran over to the dead wolf and shoved it with his nose, but he got no response. He bent his neck and made a heartbreaking howl, before he took the wolf on his back and sent me a look, that could kill. No one said a thing on our way back home, there were complete silence. 5 minutes before we reached our territory, Rhett looked at me and said  "If you weren't my sister, you would've been forced to leave this pack for being disobedient. Your disobedience costed us Sam today"    Rhett ran inside our territory and disappeared. He left me with an enormous amount of guilt and sorrow.
