I opened my eyes, turning to look at him. "Do you want children, Luke?" He nodded, a soft smile playing on his lips. "I do. Two or three, perhaps. Little ones with your kind heart and my wild imagination." I felt my heart swell with love. "I'd like that too. A little boy with your dark hair and thoughtful eyes, and a little girl with a nose always stuck in a book." Luke chuckled. "They'll be quite the handful, I imagine. But we'll love every minute of it." We lay there for a while longer, sharing our dreams and hopes for the future. It was only when I noticed Luke's eyes starting to droop that I reluctantly sat up.
