A Blessing and A Curse

Ted

I've been smiling like an i***t for hours, Selene had told me a secret, a glorious, wonderful secret, I only hoped and prayed my wife didn't kill me. She was dying to know what we spoke about and of course I'd tell her, she's my life, my everything, but part of what the goddess told me might sadden her. The pack was still shook about being visited by the mother, other packs were calling and sending emissaries to talk about peace treaties. They think were basically in good with the moon goddess, because she visited us and we have two of her children as wolves in our pack. I couldn't wait to tell Letti what we spoke about and then to share the news with the pack. I looked over at her and my heart just burst with love and joy, what an i***t I was keeping the fact that we were mates from her, thank the goddess I saw the error of my ways. I turned and looked at her, she was staring at Tucker with her eyes glazed over but still in tears, I started making my way over to her.

Letti

I mind linked Tucker, " what did you just say? " his eyes were glowing lavender and I knew then I was speaking to Ebony " I said I love you too Letti, I remember everything " he stepped over to me and embraced me " I've wished I could tell you how grateful I have always been, you saved my life and took care of me when you really didn't have to ", " now you've reunited me with my family, thank you Letti, you are a genuine

angel " she burst into tears, " you'll always be my good boy Shadow, it was a pleasure being your caretaker " I stepped forward and hugged him, sniffling " thank you Tucker, I've always wanted to talk to my boy " he says that I'm very welcome and he's happy I'm happy.

Hands wrap around my waist and the sparks and tingles envelope me, I turn around into the embrace of my gorgeous husband, he kisses me " hey baby " I smile against his lips " hey, I got to talk to my boy Ted, he remembers our time together " he hugs me " that's great sweetheart, I'm glad you got to talk to him ". He lifts me up so my legs go around his waistband he kisses me long and hard " aaaaaand that's my cue to leave " Tucker chuckles and bids us goodnight, " honey can we go home and talk about the conversation I had with the goddess? " I nod and he starts to walk with me wrapped around him, I giggled " babe put me down " he says no and keeps holding me until we are in our room.

Ted

I kick the door open and put Letti on the bed, she raises her eyebrow and says " I expected you to throw me on the bed and ravish me Alpha " I chuckled " I would've if the goddess hadn't told me that you were carrying my child ". She froze " she told you what now " I nodded " she knows that you wanted to wait so she asked me to break it to you gently, she also asked me to apologize, as she blessed your womb before she knew of your desire to wait before having pups ". Letti was still frozen, " baby....baby....aren't..aren't you happy at least? " she looked up at me and I dropped to my knees in front of her " baby are you crying happy or sad tears? " She sniffed " I wont lie Ted I'm a bit disappointed in the timing, but of course I'm happy, this is our baby....yours, mine and the goddesses " I sighed in relief and kissed her cheeks. I made a plan in my mind to take her to the pack doctors tomorrow, we'll get a check up, see exactly how far along she is and if she's ok. I kissed her lips and lifted her up, taking her to the bed, I then curled up against her back and spooned her, we fell asleep soon after.

Ted's POV

I awoke to delicious smells coming from the pack house kitchen and a missing wife, she bakes when she's troubled. I take a shower and head to the kitchen, sure as the sun shines Letti and the ladies are baking up a storm, Tucker is helping frost cupcakes and Wendell is stuffing his face with Delights, " hey, what's going on down here? " everyone turned to look at me Wendell chuckled " Alpha, your wife is very talented in the kitchen, I'm surprised you're not chubby " I laughed " I get in my exercise between training and the bedroom so I'm ok " I said patting my stomach. Letti blushed and hid her face in her apron " to be honest I could use a workout now " scooped Letti in my arms and ran back to our quarters.

After a very VERY steamy romp in the sheets and an even hotter shower Letti and I dressed and headed to the clinic. We walked hand in hand over to the pack clinic and waited until the doctor was free, Letti refused to be seen before people who had been waiting all day, so we waited, talked, kissed a little until a little old she wolf told us to get a room. She was hilarious and serious as hell, she tried to call security on us, " Ted, do we have a retirement facility in the pack? ". I wasn't sure so I said I'd check into it for her tonight or tomorrow,

When our turn came the doctor got us situated and started Letti's examination, she was happy to tell us Letti was 6 weeks along and the pup was growing very fast. She said she was sure Luna would be at full term in 3 to 4 months or less, Alpha pups tend to be early. Letti's eyes grew wide and her mouth dropped open, I rubbed her back and she calmed a bit, the doctor asked us if we wanted to know the s*x of our baby, I looked over at Letti and she nodded yes. The doctor used the wand and showed us the baby's heartbeat, little arms and legs then she waved the wand over a specific area and told us " the future of the pack is secure, your son looks very healthy Alpha " I'm not ashamed to say I cried as I kissed my wife and thanked the doctor profusely. After we got Leticia cleaned up and made our way home, I asked her if I could call my dad, she said of course. My dad literally howled down the phone line, which caused Alpha Thomas and Rick to break his door down, Rick took the phone from his hand as he was also crying " Teddy?....What's up man is something wrong with the Luna? " he asked, I told him no its actually good news " Letti is pregnant man and it's a boy, he's also been blessed by the goddess " Rick whooped and the phone went dead, I shrugged and figured that they were celebrating. I asked Letti when she wanted to tell the pack she said she'd do a general announcement when she sorted the retirement center and the daycare facilities. I tell her how much I love her and that I can't wait to meet our new son. She smiles and we hold each others hand and head down to dinner.

When Letti and I get to the dining room, everyone stands and bid us welcome, Letti tells them they don't need to stand on ceremony every time we come to dinner, we're a family here. They all ignore us and sit only after we did, so we're sitting there enjoying the delicious dinner our cooks made and the doors burst open, " where the hell is my precious daughter in law?! " Ted senior and Alpha Thomas run over to us and scooped poor Letti up out of her chair, she squeals and giggles " hey senior, Alpha...what are you guys doing here? " Ted senior chuckles " I'm moving in and Thomas came to help me move my stuff " Alpha Thomas came over and hugged me " and I've come to congratulate Ted on the best thing he's ever done in his life, which is Letti " I guffawed and asked everyone to excuse us while we got my dad settled. I explained to dad and Alpha Thomas that we haven't told the pack as yet, so it was still a secret.

My dad spent the walk up to his room holding Letti's hand and fussing over her " you'd think he was the last damn grandpa that ever was " Thomas rolled his eyes and said. Letti cleared her throat and stood in front of Alpha Thomas " well Alpha he isnt the last and he isnt the only grandpa here, when I was in desperate need of a parents love, you and Luna Christie gave it to me freely with no conditions ", " I wish you were this young man's grandparents, but I wonder if you'd take the title of god parents ? " Thomas's eyes filled with water " you've made this old Alpha cry more in the past few months than in my whole 56 years alive, of course we would love to be his god parents, thank you for the honor " he hugged her and wiped his tears and then hers. He said he couldn't wait to get home and tell Christie, " maybe we can scrap Rick and start training your son to take over my pack " Ted laughed " sorry Thomas he has his own pack already " they helped Ted senior unpack and then Thimas went down to finish eating with us, took a plate of Delights and promised Letti he'd let us know when he was safely home. Senior approached Letti with a list of names he wanted her to consider and led her away to his room, she looked over her shoulder at me and mouthed " rescue me " I shook my head no and scurried off to my office laughing.
