Changes

Over the next few months Letti changed the whole pack for the better and she was busy as a bee " nesting ", at least that's what Luna Christie and the other ladies called it. She had the nursery set up and she picked the colors she wanted me to paint the nursery in, she amazed me more and more everyday. She had gotten green, yellow and a nice royal blue for the walls of the nursery, to be painting in geometric shapes on all four walls of the room, whatever gender our pup is, they should be happy. Between gifts and our own purchases the kid has more clothes, toys, gadgets and other assorted baby items than the pack's daycare center.

Speaking of daycare centers, my amazing Luna, after picking the perfect piece of land, where the sunlight is abundant and also it's close enough to the pack so that people who want to go home, can.

She also bought a small bus to get those who can't do much walking to and from her newly built Senior Center. It's been a hit with the elder members of the pack, she's found instructors for various activities and someone who is willing to be patient and train with the elderly wolves who still wanted to be active. The first week it was open we had 43 elderly wolves sign up to use the facilities, it's free of cost and runs on donations alone, of course I made a donation in support of my awesome beautiful mate and she also had an overnight section where members could sleep over at the facility.

One lady who was a retired artist painted a scene of the outside of the building, with Letti cutting the ribbon to open it up to the public and she presented it to Letti a week after the center had been opened, it brought tears to her eyes. Letti was trying her best to make our people happy and make the pack a great place to live. She started a book club and in what I think was a stroke of genius Letti had bought a piece of land on the left side of our territory, she had it cleared all the way up to the pack house and between herself and about 20 ladies in the pack my Luna started an actual farm and garden about 40 feet away from the pack house, she had a pathway constructed just in case rogues attacked while they were working in the farm, they had a steel reinforced tunnel, opened only by a fingerprint panel and only those 20 volunteers and Letti were programmed in. The purposed plan would be to have enough warning so anyone of them could open the tunnel and they would escape run to the exit which leads right to the pack house's side entrance. Hopefully we never have to test it out, but in the event that they need to use it we'll see how good it operates.

Letti went out and with her own savings from working at the diner and bar and bought the pack farm a mating pair of cows, pigs, 12 chickens and 12 turkeys for eating and then layers of both for eggs and breeding. She sent our best trackers into the woods surrounding the pack to capture a mating pair of wild hogs, rabbits and deer. She got the masons from Alpha Thomas's construction company to build us a sizable fish farm seperated in 4 large pools that she filled with salmon, shrimp, fresh water tilapia and the last section she dedicated to shell fish, we had clams, oysters, scallops, abalone and mussels. It costed a small fortune to transport the salt water needed for them but it is running smoothly now and they are doing quite well. She then had an amazing amount of beds made up and bought over 5000 seedlings of so many vegetables and herbs, last but not least she bought 50 different types of fruit trees, stone fruit and nuts, I was extremely proud of her and when we sat down to do the accounting for the pack we tallied up how much money we would save by being more self sufficient and not bringing in most of our food stuff and the savings were astronomical.

Letti was getting rounder as the time passed and Tucker stuck to her like a second skin, she literally couldn't go anywhere but to the bathroom and to bed without him. I had a running theory going that our pup must be his mate and therefore it's a girl. Letti told me not to get too attached to that idea, she seems to have her own ideas about it, I shrugged and told her we'd see. They were currently on their way to the farm so Letti could see how everything was progressing, I bought her a golf cart to get between the farm, the centre and the pack house as she was getting bigger and I didn't want her doing all of that long walking on her sometimes swollen legs and feet, Tucker has designated himself her driver so we got him lessons, turns out he's a natural. We have officially signed all of the paperwork and Tucker asked if he could change his last name legally to ours, I must admit he brought tears to our eyes. The night he asked to legally change his name I told Letti " that's my son, that's our son babe " she nodded and sniffled " I felt connected to him from the very minute we saw him in the orphanage, he'll be 15 years older than our pup so he can take up the Alpha mantle after you and then pass it to our pup when he or she comes of age " I nodded " I would also like to buy him his own piece of land nearby, so he could start a sister pack where he'd be Alpha " Letti gasped " honey that's a great idea " I pulled her closer and put her on my lap, rubbing her belly " you hear that little buddy, your big brother will hopefully have his own pack to run so you can take over from him when you're old enough " Letti laughed " what if it's a little girl Ted? " I chuckled " my princess will be a strong female Alpha until she finds her mate , then he can be Alpha or they can rule together as Alpha male and female ".

We finished up a little more paper work and then went home and got ready for dinner, my dad was outside our door when we got upstairs. " Theodore where have you been keeping my grandchild young man? " I shook my head " really dad, my whole name......you only called me that when I was in trouble " he smirked at me " I haven't been spending a lot of time with Letti lately, I need to grow the bond with my grand baby, he or she needs to hear my voice, their 1st word must be grandpa " he looked awfully serious about this drivel he was spouting, Letti and I looked at each other and then at him and we busted out laughing. " Senior, I've just been busy making a few improvements to the pack, I'm sorry...tell you what I'll do sir, I'll come by after breakfast tomorrow morning and spend the whole afternoon until after lunch with you, how does that sound grandpa Teddy? " I swear my dad had stars in his eyes when she called him grandpa Teddy, my Luna has him wrapped around her little finger. I chuckle " dad what about me, don't you wanna spend some time with me? " he looked me up and down like I was crazy or said something crazy, " now why the f**k would I wanna do that son, I've spent almost 3 decades with you and almost no time with Letti and my grand baby " my mouth dropped open " father! my own father! well well well, you live and learn " I clapped him on the shoulder " I'll remember this old man, when the pup is going out daily with their friends and calling your ass old, when they have to be told to go visit you instead of wanting to go, then I'll pop out of nowhere and be like I bet you wish you had a loving son to fall back on " he gave me the stink eye and kissed Leticia on the cheek then bent down and kissed her growing belly " I'll see my two favorite people tomorrow........THEODORE " he said while he flipped me off, Letti giggled and we went inside to shower and change off for dinner. Letti and I went down to have dinner with the pack and while we were taking our seats a warrior runs into the dining hall " Alpha Levy, Alpha Levy, there's a convoy from the Elders at the gate, they are seeking an audience with you and our Luna about her pregnancy " he huffed I told him to let them in, if it has to do with my wife and child I'd hear what they have to say, he said they were 4 of them 2 males and 2 females. I had 4 more place settings put out and asked the kitchen staff to bring out what was left so the elders could see what choices they have.

As they arrived and were escorted to the dining hall, I asked them if they'd please sit down to dinner with us, the table off to my right is for visiting Alphas and guests. They said thank you and we all sat down to a nice dinner with plans to meet in my office after we were done eating. After dinner I took the visiting elders into my office and offered them a seat on my couch and the 2 other chairs in front of my desk, I introduced them to my beta and asked if my dad could sit in as well. They said sure and I urged them to sit and tell me what I could possibly do for them and asked what their visit had to do with Letti's pregnancy.

One of the ladies cleared her throat and greeted us " Alpha Levi, Luna Levi my name is Moira Trisk, I am an elder on the council and with me are my colleagues Marcel De Louge, Seraphine Jones and Luca Knight " I nodded and shook everyone's hand also introducing Letti, Wendell and my father to them. The gentleman called Luca spoke up " Alpha we have heard of the blessings your pack recieved from the goddess, especially her 2 visits in person and now she's touched your mates womb and blessed her with a pup as well, congratulations to you and your Luna " he continued " we've also been seeing the way Luna Leticia has been improving the pack through caring for your elders and keeping them active, the new farm and helping improve your finances as well " Letti blushed and thanked them for their compliments, Miss Moira spoke up again " um Luna Levi do you have any idea if the pup will also be a blessed descendant of the goddess? "

Letti looked confused " huh.....there is no indication that the pup is anything besides normal " she chuckled " as normal as a human that turns into a wolf can be " Moira nodded " had the goddess Selene said anything to you like that Alpha? " I shook my head " no ma'am she just told me she had blessed Letti with a pup before she was aware Letti wasn't yet ready to have them and my wife would never harm a child so she accepted the blessing and is very happy about her pregnancy ". The elders huddled and whispered amongst themselves then turned to face us " Alpha Levi as the governing body over our kind the council has conferred and decided that Luna Levi should be brought back with us and made to stay until she delivers the pup, if the pup is delivered safely and is healthy we will then decide if he or she would stay and be brought up by the council " I sat there stunned to silence, my dad and Wendell growled slowly and I only caught myself when I heard Leticia sobbing quietly, I eased Letti off my lap, putting her to sit in the chair I had occupied.

" What gives you the right to think you can take my wife and unborn child to stay with you and furthermore you also think you can take my pup away, HAVE YOU PEOPLE LOST YOUR MINDS?! " " Leave my office, packhouse, property and territory at once! " I was livid, what the hell were they thinking. The lady named Seraphine stood, " Alpha please try to understand where we are coming from, the goddess seems to love and favor this pack and its leaders, we only wish to protect and preserve her blessings ". I was shouting at this point " by taking said blessing away from the people and pack she blessed with them? Are you people insane? " I went over to my office door and opened it " get......out, no one and I mean NO ONE is taking my Luna and unborn child ANYWHERE " they filed out if my office 1 behind the other and left, I mind linked the warriors and asked for them to be escorted off my land and to not let them back on the premises without alerting me 1st. I turned and picked my still crying wife up and took her to our chambers, she curled into my chest and sobbed, I felt horrible " Letti....baby please stop crying, if you're stressed the baby's stressed, I'll never let anybody take you away from here...from me, or our pup away from us " I kissed her forehead as she sniffled and took in little broken breaths, she looked up at me, her eyes filled with sorrow " why won't they just let us be happy Ted? " she asked " after 5 years apart I finally think we're in a good place but no, 1st Trent, then I died and the goddess brought me back, then Sheila, my stupid parents and now we're happy and healthy, the pack is thriving and our family is growing , here comes the council " she let's out a loud frustrated scream, " why can't they leave us be? ". I opened the door and walked over to the couch in our den, I placed Letti on the couch and knelt in front of her " baby...we're happy now, they can't hurt us and I'm sure between the goddess and I or through common f*****g sense, the council will see the error of their ways " I took her flats off and started massaging her tired and slightly swollen feet, she sat back and moaned, closing her eyes. " Let me help you de-stress and relax my love, I'll be right back ", I ran outside to her garden, yes Leticia has claimed the flower garden as her own she's cleared spaces and changed up some of the types of flowers that were in it, she thankfully had lavender, chamomile and rose bushes put in, I ran across the courtyard, grabbed a small basket and picked some roses and lavender, I also snipped a few chamomile to get the kitchen staff to make her some fresh tea. After I had spoken to the ladies in the kitchen I ran back upstairs, Letti was on the couch watching something called " Nailed It " and positively dying with laughter, I shook my head chuckled and headed to the bathroom. I turned on the water in the tub as hot as I could get it, took the petals off the roses and dropped the sprigs of lavender in, I'd go watch some tv with her while the water steeped basically and got warm enough for her to get in. I brought her a cup of the chamomile tea to sip on while some heat goes off her bath water and sat with her " whatcha watching Luna, I love seeing you smile and laugh, especially after what just happened " she had the damn hiccups, she's adorable as hell, she hiccups her way through an explanation of the show, I raise my eyebrow " so a professional pastry chef makes these awesome baked goods and 3 horrible home bakers try to recreate them as best as they can, failing miserably? " she nodded through her happy tears and I shake my head and chuckle, but after getting to the end of the episode I too am laughing my ass off at the feeble attempts to recreate the cakes and other pastries, " this show is HILARIOUS. " I get up and go to check the water, using my elbow I determine it warm enough for my wife, I go back out, pause her show and lift her up, taking her into the bathroom and putting her on the vanity. She looks around at the candles and the tub, floating petals and sprigs of lavender, she inhales " oh honey that smells incredible " I help her take her clothes off and lift her gently into the tub, she sighs as she sinks into the water " aaaaaaaaaahhhhhhh".

I take the seat from in front of the vanity and sit behind her, gently massaging her back and shoulders as she takes her relaxing soak in the tub " ooooh Ted, this feels amazing, thank you baby " I lean foward to kiss her behind the ear " Leticia you and this baby are my life, if anything happens to you I cease to exist, I love you and I'll love our child just as much, now relax and let your Alpha pamper you my queen ". She sighs deeply and relaxes onto the water, when it was a bit cold I lean foward to tell her I'll take her out only to find my Luna fast asleep, I chuckle and take her out, holding her like the new bride that she is and I put her in our bed, gloriously naked and dry her off with a fluffy towel, she snuggles into the pillow and I put my hand on her belly, " daddy will never allow anyone to hurt you or your mother little one " as if to tell me he or she approves, I feel a kick to my palm. I jump a little, amazed and extremely happy, I bundle Letti up in the comforter and go to take a shower before I join her in bed.
