Chapter 30Don threw some steaks and vegetables on the grill while inside Micah set the table and then turned on the television. It was a Judy Garland and Mickey Rooney musical that he stopped at while surfing channels. Don, carrying a platter, halted, and looked over his shoulder. In the movie Mickey and Judy were trying to save an orphan’s home by putting on a musical in an old, unused theater.
“Ha, let’s put on a show. If only it was that easy.” Don continued to the table and was preparing to uncork the wine, when he noticed that Micah was still seated, looking deep in thought. He got up and went around the table.
“Sit down. I have an idea.”
“Oh no, maybe I should shut that movie off. The fantasy has gone to your head.”
“Just listen, will you?” Micah insisted, and Don pulled out a ch
