Chapter 3

Luna POV;

What seems like forever I finally reach the town, I can feel the exhaustion hitting my body hard but I push myself that little more and come across a motel room and feel relieved I walk over quickly and managed to book myself a room for the night and as soon as my head hit the pillow I was out like a light. I wake up the following day to the sounds of the waves crashing and it’s the most beautiful sound that I’ve ever heard in my life, I slowly get up and can feel my whole body aching from the long walk the night before, I enjoy a nice relaxing hot shower and then head back to reception to hand the room keys back in. The front desk manager looks at me and smiles as I walk in “I hope you had a good sleep” I smile back “yes I did thank you, I was wondering if you knew of any jobs available going around?” I can see them thinking hard “hmmm… ah yes if you go to the local diner and ask to speak with a man named Jack he should be able to help you out, if you go out and then turn right you’ll see the diner, I’m sorry that there is no vacancy for a few days now” I nod my head “it’s fine and thankyou so much for everything, hope to see you around” as soon as I walk out of the motel I see the diner they were talking about and make my way over. As I walk through the door the little bell above the door chimes and I see that it’s very quiet and a tall handsome man walks out with the most beautiful smile I’ve ever seen, “hi there I’m looking for a man called Jack? I was told he may be able to help me out” he turns to look at me, and I can instantly feel his piercing green eyes staring into my soul” Hi there I’m Jack, how can I help you?” I can feel my cheeks starting to blush “yes I am needing a job if you have anything available so I can keep moving on” he leans back on the counter and crosses his arms “I do need a new waitress… you know what I’ll give you a week trial starting now and see how you go and if it goes well you’ll get the job” I smile “thank you so much and I won’t let you down” he nods before walking back into the kitchen and comes out with a uniform.

Jack POV;

I always like to start my day off with a early surf before opening up the diner for the day, being in a quiet time it’s very surprising just how busy it actually gets which I enjoy a lot so after doing my morning surf I head over to the diner and open up for the day while setting up the kitchen getting ready for the day and enjoying the smells of fresh brewed coffee I hear the bell above the door chime and make my way out of the kitchen getting ready for my first customer of the day but find myself shocked when I see it’s not one of my regulars but some beautiful girl I haven’t seen around before I have to remind myself “No Jack don’t get attached or involved with this girl.. they are all the same in the end” but then I hear the way she says my name and left speechless and find myself very interested in her. I know what the motel staff are trying to do but I won’t let it happen again, I surprised myself just as much with how quickly I offered her to start a trial on, she did pretty well to keep up with the busy pace all day and before I knew it, it was closing time and just left me and her alone cleaning and getting ready for a new day tomorrow. I look over her and smile “so I forgot to ask earlier but what is your name?” she turns to me with the most beautiful smile ever “My name is Luna and I just want to say thank you again for this job” God this is going to be so hard to resist her.... her name is just as beautiful as her voice and smile “you’re most welcome, I know that the hotel is booked out for a few days, and I was wondering if you had anywhere else to stay?” “No I don’t actually” f**k it I don’t think I will be able to stay away from her “well I’ve got a spare room at my place, you are more than welcome to stay there for as long as you need” she looked at me with the biggest smile on her face “thank you so much Jack” she ran up and hugged me and she smelled so beautiful… “you’re welcome, now let’s go back and get some rest we have another busy day tomorrow”, this is going to be very interesting.

Luna POV;

I swear this week has just flown by and I have never felt more amazing than I do right now and I never want it to end, Jack oh my there has been a few times where I’ve caught glimpses of Jack shirtless after going out for his morning surfs and I wanted to do so many things right there and then but I’ve managed to hold myself back… as nice and caring he has been towards me I just don’t think he feels the same way about me it’s hard to tell what that man sometimes thinks or feels sometimes but I don’t want to ruin the good friendship we have going right now but still that doesn’t stop from my imagination running wild while I’m sleeping in the room right next to his. Hmm “Hey Jack” he pops his head out of the kitchen with one eyebrow raised looking at me “Yes Luna?” “Why is it so quiet today? I don’t know it feels odd” he walks out of the kitchen “You know what I didn’t even notice, but yes everyone is getting ready for tonight’s beach bonfire so we could probably close up early and have the rest of the day off” I find myself with the biggest grin on my face “Here’s an idea why don’t me and you go together and just hang out?” he looks at me with a smirk “are you sure about that? I mean there is a lot of drinking and loud music and tends to go all night sometimes?” “Yes let’s! when is the last time you’ve been able to just chill out?” “Hmm you’ve got a point there, well alright let’s do it, well pop by home and freshen up and then head down together?” “Sounds perfect”. I have the perfect outfit in mind that I know will blow Jack’s mind and hopefully finally know if he is interested in me or not once and for all eek I’m so excited, I hope tonight will be just as amazing.

Jack POV;

Wow I can’t believe I’m actually doing this again but maybe it will be different this time around from 5 years ago with Amber guess will just have to wait and see, this past week with Luna has been amazing but I don’t know if she’s interested like that and I don’t want to be hurt again so guess we will wait and see how it goes. “Hey, Luna, you almost ready? We are missing out on all the fun” “Alright Jack I’m coming now” I turn around and just left me speechless… she looks so beautiful and just at peace “Do I look okay Jack” I smile “You look beautiful” I extend my arm out to her “Shall we?” she nods at me I can see the blush rushing to her cheeks as she loops around my arm “yes let’s” as we walked down the beach I couldn’t help but sneak looks at her and her pure beauty she really was something beautiful. “Would you like to have a drink with me Luna?” “Yes please and thankyou” I smile “No worries I’ll be right back” as I walk over to the bar to grab us a drink I see the couple who owns the motel “Don’t start alright” they laugh “Oh come Jack, there is something between you two so stop fighting it and go for it while you still have the chance otherwise you will end up regretting it, have fun” I grabbed our drinks and headed back to where Luna was but as I got closer to her I could see she was starting to become a bit overwhelmed “Here you go, are you okay?” “Oh thankyou and Yes I’m okay” I simply shake my head and grab her hand “No you’re not, come on I know somewhere that’s a bit more quieter and gets the best sunsets” I felt her grab my hand and noticed how perfect her fingers fitted into mine like it was meant to be and the sparks feel amazing.

Luna POV;

The moment my hand slid into his hand just felt right and instant sparks I saw him smile as we started to walk to this quiet spot he was talking about so I really hope he is feeling this as well and it’s just not the alcohol affecting me but either way I’m going to just throw it out there and see what happens before it drives me crazy. We finally reach the spot, and I’m left in awe its simply beautiful “Jack how did you know about this place?” “oh, I like to come here sometimes when I need a break from the world or if life gets to much, honestly you’re the first person I’ve ever shared this spot with” hearing that melted my heart and gave me more butterflies I couldn’t hold it in anymore “Hey Jack” “Yeah Luna?” I grabbed both his hands in mine and felt that spark again “Look I’m going to be honest with you here, I’m starting to fall for you and I think we definitely have something here” before I could continue what I was saying he placed his hands on both sides of my face and kissed me.
