The hall grew cold at my decree. I saw Hector and Beatrice. They were both frightened but even though they hated the idea, it had already been decided. I am stepping down and Daniel will take the position of Alpha in the pack.
“My lord, please don't do this,” One of the elders in the pack said. “Please, I am begging you to take back your words.”
“I have made my decision, and if you have a problem with it then you should better leave the pack,” I replied. I looked at the faces of the betas. “If any of you have an issue with the choice I had made, signify now, so that I can figure out what to do with you.”
