Chapter 14: Blame the Alcohol!!

My head is a mess. I can’t seem to concentrate in anything with the current situation… What if my Uncle really poses as a threat to Krish and his family? Can I really fight against my Uncle to protect him?

“Kaira? Are you listening to me? ” Daisy’s loud voice pulled me to reality. I blinked at her blankly which made her realize that I haven’t listened to her any word.

“Sorry what were you saying?” After sighing deeply she asked to sign a few documents which wants my approval. I signed them for her but she didn’t leave. Instead she took a seat in front of me and asked me to speak my mind.

I blinked at her thrice in confusion.

“I am saying, I am willing to listing to everything that you have to say! Go on. Speak your mind out!” She really looked like she was willing to listen to me. Last night after visiting my Uncle I randomly gave out orders to her like we were lacking security and stuffs. She was stupefied with my lack of explanations but didn’t pester me further for my reasons. But now… I am not sure whether I will be able to handle him alone. Maybe I could ask for Daisy’s opinion on this…

I cleared my throat and breathe in deeply before opening my mouth to say her everything.

“Well Daisy… It goes like this…” I told her everything that happened yesterday. She looked as serious as me. I also told her that he threatened me with that incident from 2 years ago. She looked so angry that she could murder someone with just her eyes.

That day 2 years ago 3 innocent lives were brutally killed by no one other than my Uncle. It all started because the guy that I met 2 years ago was interested in me that he confessed his love to me. I have never really paid any attention to guys before for my life was a mess! I was abandoned when I was 6. After taking me back in, I was tortured by my step mother and sister. They made me a cripple when I was just 23. After passing that, they kidn*pped me and sent me to a dangerous country just to get me killed. No matter how much I think I couldn’t understand why they hated me so much. In all that do you think I would have any time for men? Of course not! What I only wanted was revenge!

He was a guy from a family who were not as rich as mine. So what? He had something which I never had and that was love… But I didn’t have any time for him no matter how much he loved me. I cleanly rejected him when he confessed his feelings. But that didn’t stop him from approaching me. Somehow my Uncle got the wind of it and tortured the guy so much that he died in the end… Unable to withstand the death of their only son, his parents decided to take revenge on him. They filed a complaint against my Uncle for murder.

But this world only revolved around money and money is the only thing which mattered. He paid his way out and lashed out on those poor couple… I was too weak to do anything back then that I could only witness what he was doing to them. He tortured them and played with their lives as a toy until they finally committed suicide.

Uncle thinks I know nothing about that deed but he is wrong… I knew everything… But decided to stay silent… I know I am a b***h for doing so but I cannot afford to offend him with just my power back then. But now I have Daisy…

“Hey babe… Don’t worry. I will try to do whatever I can in my power. First I will look into your Uncle. He is just too mysterious…”

I agreed with her on that. She was right. Even though he is my Uncle I know nothing about him apart from the things that everyone already knows. We will have to know more about our enemy before entering into a fight….

Daisy nudged my shoulder to get my attention.

“You look very stressed… How about we go for a drink and chill out babe?” I don’t drink much but I go whenever she asks me to. But today, I guess I won’t mind getting a little drunk…

We frequent this bar in S City. Daisy ordered our usual. She started off with her crazy drama talks. I tried to change the subject but it never worked!

“Baby! Listen to me! You remember that drama I told you before? Destined Lovers?? It’s getting really steamy these days!!” She looked so thrilled that her eyes turned into stars. In the middle of her narration she bombed me with a question.

“How is your married life? Is he good in bed?” With a sly grin on her face she shamelessly asked me. I turned my face away and avoided her. But she became so persistent all of a sudden that she finally succeeded in making me spill the beans!

“What???? You still haven’t slept with him??? My god!!” She literally screamed which made people turn our way! I was totally embarrassed.

“If you dare say anymore, consider your tongue gone!” That shut her up for a while. We drank quite a lot. Daisy is a heavy drinker, but I am not! With the 3rd glass I nearly passed out. She took me to the car and asked our chauffeur to take us to my villa first.

“Now babe, Let’s be honest! Are you not tempted to touch him? Strictly speaking, isn’t he just too hot? Aren’t his juicy lips too inviting?”

“Stop it! He is my husband! Don’t speak of him. Don’t think about him! He is mine!!” I growled. s**t! I am too drunk! I can’t believe those words came out of my mouth. Daisy on the other hand looked so amused with a playful grin on her face.

We reached my villa. Daisy was holding onto me so that I won’t fall flat on my face. I am just tooo drunk!! Ms. Thara opened the door. She looked a little surprised to see me totally wasted. I was barely conscious.

Ms. Thara rushed in to get me some water so that I could sober up a little. Daisy left after leaving me on the couch on the living room. Krish walked down hearing all those noise. I stared at his magical deep blue eyes, his nose and his lips… She is right he is just too handsome....

But you all know what? He is mine and mine alone!

“What happened? Is there something on my face?” He rubbed his cheeks with the back of his hand. Unknowingly I blurted out what was on my mind.

“I want to kiss you….”

*Crash* I turned around and saw Ms. Thara drop the glass of water on the floor. That brought me back to my f*****g sense. What in the world did I just say? Drunk! Let’s just blame it on the drinks!! f**k!!!

Ms. Thara cleaned that mess and vanished from the living room in a split second. I could feel my cheeks heating up.. it must be the effect of the alcohol…. Or my embarrassment…..

I slowly crept my way to my room without looking back at Krish when his seductive voice stopped me on my damn feet!

“Where are you going?”

“To.. to .. my room?” Damn why did I have to stammer now of all time?

“You mean our room?” I turned around to face him. He walked up to me in a flash as he pushed me against the wall. I was flustered! Or it could be the alcohol that is acting up!!

“You said you want to kiss me. Then why are you leaving?” My heart started a little dance of its own. I could feel my cheeks burning the moment he caressed me with his back hand. Or it could be the f*****g ALCOHOL!!!! Damn you! Can’t you get me? I am trying my best to run away here!!

Seeing me fighting myself he suddenly burst out laughing.

“Sorry for startling you. You looked too cute that I couldn’t help but tease you a little.”

What?? Wait a minute… Did he just laugh at me!? Wow. Tease me??  Now that hurts my pride!!

I cupped his cheeks with my small hands. He was just too tall for me that I had to tip-toe and the next moment I placed my lips on his. I don’t know where I got this sudden courage but god, alcohol is great!! Love live the alcohol!!!

My first kiss was gone just like that but I don’t regret it… He didn’t push me away instead he pulled me closer by holding my waist and pinned me to the wall making me close my eyes in reflex. It was amazing…. He licked my lower lip softly asking for entrance and I granted as he continued to savor my mouth slowly but passionately.I don't know how long we have been kissing...

It would be a lie if I say I didn’t like it. I simply loved his kiss that I was melting in his mouth. If I knew it would feel so good I would have tried it sooner…. I felt my eyes drowsy as the sleep consumed me. Damn what a way to end my first kiss!!
