Chapter 1 Nocturne saved the girl
For centuries, Doctor Nocturne had lived in secrecy, his origins shrouded in mystery and tied to a powerful, enigmatic bloodline. On one fateful day, while wandering through a remote and shadowy forest, Nocturne stumbled upon a peculiar structure—a tiny house carved into the rock, resembling a cave.
Inside, he discovered something unsettling. A young girl lay motionless, her body twitching unnaturally as if manipulated by invisible strings. Her eyes were vacant, her movements not her own. It was clear she was in a critical condition, and someone—or something—was controlling her like a puppet. A caretaker hovered nearby, but their intentions felt sinister.
Sandra: Please, help me! I don’t want to die. I want to live—I want to be with my family, to hold them again, to laugh with them, and to feel safe in their arms. I’m scared, but I’m not ready to give up. Please… I just want to go home.
Suddenly, Nocturne was ambushed by a group of armed men guarding the cave. Without hesitation, he sprang into action. Though they shot him multiple times, his wounds healed instantly, his body regenerating with supernatural speed. With swift, precise movements, he incapacitated the attackers, his fury fueled by the injustice he had witnessed.
Nocturne: Do you really think I died for this weapon? You're wrong. I survived—and now, I want you to face the consequences for the evil you've done.
Once the threat was neutralized, Nocturne broke open the locked room where the girl was held. Inside, she lay unconscious, surrounded by cold surgical equipment and eerie instruments. Her fragile body bore signs of experimentation and neglect.
Recalling the ancient healing technique passed down by his father, Nocturne gently placed his hands over the girl’s chest. A soft glow emanated from his palms, and slowly, miraculously, the girl began to recover—her breathing steadied, her color returned, and life flickered back into her eyes.
Without wasting another moment, Nocturne cradled the child in his arms and carried her away from that place of torment. He traveled through the night until he reached her family, reuniting them in a moment of tearful relief and joy.
Sandra's Family: Thank you so much for helping our daughter. We can’t express how grateful we are for your kindness and support. In a moment when we felt helpless, you gave us hope. Your compassion means the world to us, and we’ll never forget what you’ve done for Sandra.
Sandra ran to him, hugged him tightly, and said...
Sandra: Thank you so much! One day, I hope to become a doctor just like you—someone who makes a real difference in people's lives. I want to help others, heal them, and give them hope, just like you do.
He smiled at her. He touched the child's hair.
Nocturne: Okay, just as you said—when you grow older, you want to become a doctor like me. Whenever you need guidance, just call me. I’ll be here for you, ready to help.
The girl sat quietly in the back seat of her family's car, her thoughts still lingering on everything that had just happened. As the vehicle began to pull away, she turned to glance out the rear window. Nocturne had been standing there just moments ago, watching over her. But now, the spot was empty—he had vanished without a trace, like a shadow melting into the night.
