"We're here Sweetie", Mum said putting the car to a halt while I surveyed the school's vicinity. Next thing I know I felt someone poking me on the shoulder. "Earth to Adele", I could hear mum say. Dang it!!! I spaced out. I mentally slammed my forehead with my hand and looked at her. "Sorry Mum, I guess the idea of a new environment is a lot to take in", I stated sighing loudly. "I get you Sweetie, but to get over the past you have to move on", I could she how sorry she felt for me as she said those words that kept me till the present. "I shouldn't be making her sad", I thought to myself. "Get a grip Adele!!!" I mentally encouraged me...
"I should go now. See you later Mum, be good alright?", I jumped out of the car, teasing her, her tiny giggles telling me she feels ßetter than she was a minute ago. "See you Honey", she said, starting the car and driving off. I glanced ßack, waving to her. "WOAH!!!", I yelped, shutting my eyes and bracing myself for the impact of nature's earth on my face. Only, I felt nothing other than a strong grip on my tiny waist and someone's warm ßreath on my forehead. "Are you alright?", a sexy ßaritone voice swayed through my ears, forcing me to open my eyes to a pair of ocean ßlue eyes. I just stared at the ßlack at the edge of those orbs and how it felt like water was playing inside it. Still tongue-tied, I realized he was still holding me, like he wasn't planning on ever letting me go. I hurriedly pulled away from his grasp, slipping my way into the school premises after yelling a shocked SORRY. Once I was sure he wasn't closeby, I slowed down and composed myself, flashing ßack to my moment of stupidity.
Ugh!!! What a bad start for a new environment....
