My Autumn Holiday part one

A black car stopped in front of a duplex, Laura, her sister Cynthia and her mom alighted from the car. Laura rushed to the boots of the car. She was the happiest girl today. It was a little sunny but cool. She began bringing out her luggage. The door opened, her cousin laurel came out screaming. "Hey Laura". She waved. "Mom.... come out they're here". She smiled, running towards them. She jumped on her and they hugged each other dearly. "Happy birthday again Laura". She smiled while Laura beamed . Laura and laurel were age mates. They were best friends even being cousins. They loved eachother so much right from childhood. Laura loved coming to spend the holidays in her house. Most times, she wished her wasn't her mom's daughter cause her mom guarded her like a prisoner because she feared that her daughter would become wayward. And because of that, she disliked her mother, it always brought issues among them. Laura senior her with only two weeks. Her birthday was three days ago. "I've still got your birthday gifts". She held her hands. Together they went into the house. Her mom had told her that the only way she gets to spend holiday with her was if her sister who was a nurse would accompany her. She had choice that to agree to her conditions. Laura was now seventeen years old and wanted to be free. She was tired of her mom controlling her all the time. So, going to her cousin's house for holiday was the best idea. Laurel's mom came out, she smiled seeing them together. "Hey aunt". Laura hugged her. "How is my baby?" She realeased her and Laura giggle. "Has been two years!" She exclaimed. The two mothers greeted each and Cynthia did same to her aunt. "Laura". Her mom called. "Who's gonna take in your things?". Laura turned to her. "Don't worry about that I'll handle it". Her aunt replied. Laura smiled at her blowing her a kiss and laurel did an eye roll. "Let's go". She said and the girls went inside. Later on, they all relaxed in the sitting room as they chatted happily. "Laura won't let me be". Her mom started as Cynthia gave every one each a glass of wine. Laura glanced at her mom and then glared at her praying that she won't say something stupid to get her aunt mad or anything. She just wanted her mum to go do badly. " She always wanted to spend time here so I had to agree". She said. " What the heck?! " Laura exclaimed but of course it was in her head. She didn't want to start a scene because she wasn't going to let go. She was just pretending, it was her dad that actually allowed her to come here but her mom had to still look for ways just to transfer Cynthia from her former hospital to the one at the countryside where Laurel's family was. "Well Laura, you're gonna have a nice time with me". Laurel said and everyone laughed. Everyone happily ate and chatted, as for laurel she couldn't wait for her mother to leave the house. Soon enough, her mom announced her department and Laura jumped up with joy. "Oh aunt we'll miss you". Laurel said. "Well I'm not gonna miss you at all". Laura muttered. She rushed to give her mom her handbag and everyone waved her goodbye. They retreated back to the couch. "Well girls". Her aunt said. "As usual you'll be in charge of the compound." "You know it's autumn🍂 season so the surroundings need to be neat always. Dinner was severed and everyone retreated to their rooms. Laurel and Laura usually stay together. They began to arrange Laura's things into space. Laurel sighted a present 🎁 wrapped neatly. She smiled glancing over at Laura who was busy arranging cosmetics on the table mirror. " Is this mine? ". Laura turned to her. " I knew how much you wanted a headset so..... ". She trailed off. " Ohh honey, thanks". She beamed. Laura remembered her always wanting to have a brand new headset anytime they often chat. "Also a reminder". She stood up going to her bedside drawer, bringing out a box. "Here you go". She handed it to her. Laura opened it so eagerly "Wow". She exclaimed happily. It was a complete set of expensive sliver jewelleries; rings, chains, earrings and little hair clips. "Its pretty". She looked at her. "I love you bestie." She hugged her tight. "Oh my baby". Laurel replied. "c'mon let's keep arranging". She added. "Theses four weeks is gonna be a memorable one. Early morning, Laura was already awake. She sat up and yawned severally🥱, and stretched her hands. She looked at laurel beside her. She was still asleep. She pushed away the duvet from her legs and came down the bed. Putting her legs into her slippers, she sluggishly strode to the bathroom. She picked up her tooth brush and paste and brushed her teeth carefully. She washed away her sleepy face and came out. Entering the main room, laurel was up already. " Good morning Laura". She yawned so loudly. " Good morning". She sat back on the bed while laurel sat upright. Laurel took her phone." How was your night?". Laura asked. "Short". She winced. Laura squeezed her face at her. "Your mouth stinks girl". She said. Laurel looked at her. "I'm not like you". She said placing the phone over her ear. Laura watched her talk to her friends about her. ".... Yeah today will be fun of course." She said hanging up. Laura was also on her phone chatting some of her friends back at home. "Today, mom's gonna show you around." She said still on her phone. "Can't wait". Soon they were out, they took brushes from the garage and began sweeping the ground. Laura loved this place, the morning breeze, the birds chirping and the calm. "And as for dad" Laurel said, "he travelled two days ago for work so he's not going to be around for sometime." "Meaning we can do whatever we want". Laura said and they laughed. Just at that moment the girls were sharing, some boys were riding their bikes towards their house. They were going to pass by until they noticed the girls out there. "Hey guys". Laurel shouted raising her brush over at them to attract their attention. Laura laughed at her cousin's dramatic reaction. "They already saw her coming so why did she put up that reaction". She loved her cousin anyway. "Hey". They replied in unison. They all stopped. "Whose that pretty girl with you?". A guy named Jordan which I later learned asked. "Ohh". Laurel turned to me. "She my cousin". She turned back to them. "She's here for the holiday". "She's really pretty and more than in pictures". Another guy said. "Thanks V•J". Laurel said. Ok Laura quickly studied the guy. He was absolutely handsome and had a cold face in a way. "Thanks". She also replied in a shy tone. That was crazy. "How could you babe". She asked herself. She'd never been shy to reply a comment before. " Do come to the bar today". He said to her adjusting his bicycle🚲. "Wil do". Laurel replied. "Alright". He said and waved her bye. She waved at them back and faced laurel. "They're nice right?" "Bar?" Laura puzzled. Laurel laughed. "It's not actually a bar, don't know why he calls it that. It's a field with a basket ball court in it and a bar as he says at the far corner". She continues. "It's kinda cool to hang out there and the bar, I work there at leisure and I get paid." She said and began sweeping. Laura just stool comprehending everything. "Wanna come". "Yeah". She answered but I that wasn't really on her mind although, going there would be nice so as to see him. "Whose that guy?" Laurel faced her. You mean V•J?". She asked and she nodded. "Oh that naughty boy, my friend..... he likes you". Laura's eyes widened. "He likes me?" She asked curious almost about blushing. "c'mon he's kind of a playboy. And I usually show all my friends pic of you". She smiled. "Although I've told my friends about you and he says........ " "Girls that's enough now". Her mom called. "Breakfast". "Okay mom--aunt". They replied simultaneously and walked into the house leaving the brushes lying on the floor. "Laura we'll be going on a little tour". Her aunt began after they'd all finish their meal. "It's been a while and I know you must have forgotten about some places." She smiled. "Id love it. Thanks aunt". Laura said. "I don't think I'll come with". Cynthia announced. "Alright Cynthia." Her aunt replied her. "What do I wear?" Laura winced staring at the wardrobe in front of her. Laurel walked forward picking out a short spaghetti-hand sun-flower dress. "I like it already". She quickly put on the dress and twirled staring at her figure in the mirror. "What about you laurel?" She looked at her through the mirror. She was already putting on a blue baggy shirt and a bum shorts. "Nice". She smiled at laurel. "You have a nice fashion taste". Laura praised. They took their phones and came to the sitting room. " We're ready mom". They announced sitting on the couch waiting for her to show up. Laurel was the only child so her parents showered her with lots of love. Although he's dad was a busy man, he still made out time for her. In the car they chatted, they sang. Her aunt stopped the car. They came down the came and Laura remembered this boutique. She'd been here before with laurel and even with her sister. It was a very known boutique just for girls though. They entered and they began selecting different outfits to their choice. Soon they finished and Laurel's mom paid and soon they were on the road again. They arrived at a restaurant and ordered their meal. Laura was so delighted at the presentation of the meals in the restaurant. Well she had little to eat. They were out again and this time for the cinema. They entered the room and it was a bit noisy. They quickly looked for a good seat space and they relaxed. They waited for a while and became bored. They were severed popcorn and a juice while they waited for the movi to start. Shed reason that when she will have a boyfriend, she'd be coming her regularly to watch romantic movies with him. But if it isn't convenient, they'd watch it together at home. "Finally". Laura signed while they walked to the car behind her aunt. "That movie, was so boring". Laurel nodded. "Reasons why I don't enjoy going to the movies with her". She admitted. "That's bad but now, I'm here". Laura smiled and they laughed. Time had already gone and it was becoming dark quickly. Laura's mom stopped the car Infront of the basketball field. "Come home early girls". She said. "We'll try". Laurel responded as they watch the car zoom off. Laurel face her and smiled. "Let's go in". She said and Laura followed her from behind. They went straight to the bar corner and soon, laurel began introducing her friends that worked there like her both part time and full-time to laurel. They liked Laura already. "You guys look so much alike". One of the girls said. Soon the basketball players --the boys only began trooping into the field, arranging themselves in their seats. More audience came into the field and some came over to the bar to buy snacks and drinks --mostly drinks. Laurel already loved the place and had already made new friends. The game then started already but Laura wasn't really interested in basketball. One girl walked up to them. "Hey girl".
