Chapter 1
Stella laid on her queen bed enjoying the peace and quiet of the unusually silent pack house. It wasn't very often that the Silver Crescent pack house was this quiet. She had finally had a chance to work in her song book, scribbling down lyrics and humming to herself quietly. After several hours she finally decided to get a quick nap in before going out with her best friends Lux and Jasper. It seemed like Stella had just fallen asleep when her bedroom door flew open and standing in the door way was Lux.
"STELLA ROSE MONTGOMERY GET YOUR ASS OUT OF THAT BED AND GET READY!" shrieked Lux
Stella groaned and rolled over tapping her phone screen to reveal that it was 8:00pm and time to get up. She looked back over at Lux who had made her way over to Stella's chaise lounge and plopped down, making herself at home.
"Is that what you are wearing tonight" Stella asked looking her friend up and down
"Of course! This dress was worn at the fashion show in Milan by super model Antoinette Peru, if she can pull it off than I can too!" Lux grinned and smoothed out her hot pink cheetah print dress. She flipped her bubblegum pink hair back to reveal her bare shoulders. "Hurry up!" she said.
Lux has always been the more confident one out of the two of them. She always made bolder choices when it came to her fashion, where as Stella tried to play it safe with her choices. Being the daughter of Alpha Bryan Sage Montgomery Stella had spent her twenty one years of life under a microscope. All of her choices constantly critiqued. She knew that no matter where she went she always had eyes on her every move. She was ready to break free, see the world and try to make it on her own.
"Earth to Stella" came an annoyed voice
Stella glanced over at her best friend who was impatiently holding up her cell phone showing the time 8:15pm. Stella sauntered over to her massive closet filled with beautiful designer clothes, shoes, handbags and everything else a girl could possible want. She started flipping through dresses looking for something sexy but not sexy enough to earn her a lecture from her parents. She finally settled on a gorgeous wine colored satin spaghetti strap dress with a cutout back. She grabbed a pair of gold stilettos and quickly changed and got to work meticulously working her hair into a slick over the shoulder braid. Once she had finished with her hair and make-up she took a quick look in the mirror before grabbing her gold clutch off the nightstand and heading out the door.
