Chapter 1
The tombstone with Evelyn Cole's name carved on it was still wet, indicating that it had only been a few days since the grave was dug and filled with coffins. A bouquet of flowers was placed by a girl with hair as black as charcoal, her fair skin looking paler as the cold autumn wind began to blow.
"I will reveal the truth. I will make them pay for what they did to you, Eve." She said in a trembling voice, filled with pent-up emotions.
"Give my regards to Mum when you see her there." The girl patted the tombstone before walking away, leaving the cemetery that felt increasingly lonely.

"Are you sure you're going to take on two jobs at once, Liz?" A girl with dimples on her cheeks asked as she chewed on the piece of bacon that was on their breakfast menu that morning.
"Yes, I'm going to find the mastermind behind my sister's death and I'll plaster their faces on the first page of next month's newspaper," Elizaberth replied while poking at her bacon with disinterest.
Her sister's death a fortnight ago left Elizaberth alone in this world. Both of her parents had passed away when she was still in primary school, and Evelyn had been the only one who worked hard to support her.
Being separated from death by her only remaining family in an unnatural way, made a sense of vengeance rule the oriental-faced girl's heart. Elizaberth had to find out who was behind her sister's desperate attempt to chug a bottle of sleeping pills.
"Take care of yourself, I heard that the owner of the company doesn't hesitate to strangle the new kid if the job doesn't go the way he wants it to." Daniella looked at her friend with a worried look, as she was well aware of the rumors circulating about that frozen food distributor company.
"Don't worry, as soon as I catch that rotten rat, I'll do an article on how they treated me there." Elizaberth's eyes flashed with anger before she continued her words in a low tone, "They should also be rewarded for not caring about the death of their employees."
Elizaberth's heartache was also felt by Daniella. The dimpled girl could only sigh in resignation before cupping the back of her best friend's hand and clasping it, hoping that she could share just a little bit of her energy with Eliza.
"I wish you all the best with whatever your plans are, Liz. However, you should still be careful. I don't want you to end up with the same fate as Evelyn," Daniella said sadly as her grip tightened on Eliza's hand. However, Eliza only replied to that with a tired smile on her face.
"It would be nice if I could reunite with her," Eliza whispered, still with a knotted smile on her face.
Daniella shook her head, disagreeing with what Eliza said. She moved closer to Eliza and immediately embraced her best friend's petite body. Daniella would rather see Eliza who is full of ambition to avenge her older sister, not Eliza who is desperate and wishes to follow Evelyn to heaven.
"You have to keep your spirits up, I'm sure we will get the truth," Daniella said as the final verdict of their conversation that morning.
And, here Eliza was, in front of a frozen food distribution company. The company that was allegedly the reason why Evelyn committed suicide, for whatever reason. Only a piece of paper with Evelyn's words of apology left for her. Making Eliza unable to stay silent and let her older sister die just like that.
Ambition again exploded within Eliza, the girl stared intently at the top where the company's signboard was installed.

"I'll make sure all of you involved rot in prison," Eliza muttered with both hands clenched at her sides before taking a deep breath and exhaling slowly.
Eliza started to show a fake smile before she stepped inside and greeted the few people who passed by her. Some of the people she met looked surprised at her resemblance to Evelyn, the employee they used to know. They had already heard that Evelyn's younger sister would be taking her place here, but no one expected Evelyn and Eliza to be so similar. It was only the mole under Evelyn's lip that Eliza didn't have.
A young man with blond hair and hazel eyes approached her and immediately cupped both of Eliza's shoulders which of course was immediately greeted with a displeased look from the owner.
"You really look like Eve! I didn't believe it at first when Mr Ian talked about Eve's sister taking her place now," he said with eyes twinkling with admiration.
Eliza just smiled uncomfortably before lowering the young man's hand from her shoulder. She didn't like it when people who weren't close to her did skinship with her.
"Ah, yes... I got the mandate from my older sister to continue her work, because she really LOVES this job," Eliza replied with an emphasis on one syllable, making the blonde youth frown, but he immediately extended his hand to Eliza.
"My name is Hansel, you can call me Hans. I work in the same division as you," Hans said with a big smile still on his face.
Eliza grimaced in her heart before welcoming Hans' hand. She guessed that her days ahead would be much more nauseating because of this expressive young man in front of her. Or, would Eliza get information from this chatty young man about who Evelyn was close to before she died and help her find more clues?
