Chapter 2

"What are you looking for?" Harvey watched Jesi, who seemed to be searching for something.

"I'm looking for sounds like animals fighting." Jesi was confused.

"Maybe you just hallucinated."

"No! I heard the sounds of barking and commotion very clearly."

"Then, if you have seen the beast, what do you want?"

"I...I am..."

"Quickly go inside the house! It's dangerous outside!"

Harvey took Jesi by the hand. The long-haired beauty looked at Harvey's hand.

"UPS, sorry! I didn't mean to..." Harvey let go of his hand.

"What do you want from me? You locked me in here and tied my whole body up, so I couldn't do anything. Yet, you saved me twice. What do you want from me? Please, answer!"

"I want..." Harvey was silent. He was confused by what he was feeling. His heart was pounding.

"This you? That's the weirdest and most annoying man I've ever met!"

Harvey ran and locked the door. The white-skinned, pale-faced man ignored Jesi's question. "Staring into her eyes for too long, my heart is getting a strange feeling. Could it be that I'm in love with her? Ah, no way!" he grumbled.

Harvey was about to return to the kingdom.

"Wait! Hey, Harvey? Why did you leave me here alone? Why did you lock me in here? I'm scared." Jesi banged on the door. "Please...? Don't leave me here! I'm scared! Huh, why did he leave me here alone? What if an animal comes for me? Aaahhh! How upset is he with me? Why am I so stupid? In the kingdom, Harvey was sitting in the living room with his parents, Max and Merry.

"Tomorrow is the full moon. Have you made a sacrifice yet?" asked Max as he sipped the fresh blood on the table.

"I have, Pa."

"Good then. What's the girl's name?"

"Jesi."

"That's a good name. Bring her here tomorrow! I want to see her before she dies and becomes a wolf."

"I'm so happy, Max. You're going to be the successor to the kingdom," Merry said, smiling at her only son.

"Let's raise a toast to our soon-to-be King!"

"Let's make a toast! Ciiisss...!"

"But Harvey wants to marry her."

Harvey's words suddenly brought silence to the room.

"What are you talking about?"

"Harvey, darling? Didn't you hear me wrong?"

"No! Papa and Mummy didn't hear it wrong. Harvey loves that woman and wants to marry her."

"Plak!"

Max slapped Harvey very hard.

"Stop it, Pa!"

"How dare you talk like that in front of us? Did you forget that wolf-to-human marriages are not allowed in our kingdom?"

"Harvey has been trying to resist these feelings, but I can't! Harvey wants to keep the girl."

"Is it because you want to protect her that you want to marry her?"

Harvey nodded.

"Papa said not to marry that woman if you don't want disaster to happen!"

Max slapped Harvey a second time.

"Get the hell out of here and never come back! I'll never think of you as our son if you ever marry that woman."

Harvey got up and left his parents.

Jesi threw the fruit away.

"Jesi, my daughter... You're finally home, dear! Mum and Dad were so worried about you," Lina said as she hugged Jesi, who hadn't been home for days.

"Who was that man?" The eyes of Daniel, Jesi's father, were fixed on Harvey, who was standing right beside Jesi.

"Hmm, I'm Harvey, Om."

"I'm Jesi's future husband," Harvey replied, trying to be loud.

"What, future husband?"

"Jesi? Is what that man said true? Since when have you two been in love? Why didn't you tell Mom you had a boyfriend?"

"We've known each other for a long time, so please bless us!" Harvey bowed down.

"Harvey! What are you doing?" Jesi whispered while nudging Harvey's body with her right elbow.

"I'm the CEO of Kusuma Group."

"No way!" Jesi was surprised by Harvey's answer.

"CEO?"

"Jesi, since when have you had a friend who is a CEO and never told Mom?"

The wedding took place. Harvey looked even more handsome, dashing in his black suit with small white accessories in his pockets. Jesi, on the other hand, looked beautiful and graceful in her white dress.

However, behind the happiness and glamour of the wedding, there was a deep concern for Harvey's parents.

"What about this, Dad? Harvey is still marrying that woman, plus there's a full moon tonight," Merry whispered.

"Harvey is so stubborn!"

"What if something terrible happens in our sisterly world?"

"Catastrophe is bound to happen. But we don't know if Harvey will make it through."

After their marriage, Harvey and Jesi lived in an apartment.

"Why did you say you were a CEO?"

Jesi took the ID card shown by Harvey.

"B-but? Your attitude doesn't reflect that you're a CEO. I've never seen a CEO keep a woman captive for almost a month before."

Harvey pushed Jesi, causing her to bounce on the bed.

"You look even more beautiful lying on the bed like this."

Jesi placed both hands on her chest.

"I'll make you love me."

"No! Don't walk near me!"
