Part 1: THE CHAIRMAN FINDS OUT

Monday. 8:00 AM. Principal's Office.

Ji-woo was called in.

Tae-oh was already there.

And a man in an expensive suit.

Chairman Kang.

Tae-oh’s dad.

Cold. Sharp. Just like Tae-oh.

"Park Ji-woo," he said.

"Yes, Chairman-nim."

"You’ve been spending a lot of time with my son."

Ji-woo froze.

"Ne... for the festival project—"

"I don’t care," Chairman Kang cut her.

"Tae-oh. My office. After school."

"Yes, father," Tae-oh said. Voice flat.

They walked out.

Tae-oh didn’t look at Ji-woo.

Ji-woo’s heart sank.

Part 2: AFTER SCHOOL. STUDENT COUNCIL ROOM.

5:00 PM.

Tae-oh was sitting.

Staring out the window.

Ji-woo knocked.

"Come in."

"I’m sorry," Ji-woo said first. "If I caused trouble—"

"You didn’t," Tae-oh cut her.

"My dad is like that. With everyone."

He looked tired.

"Are you okay?" Ji-woo asked.

Tae-oh laughed. But not happy.

"He said I should focus on studies. Not 'distractions'.

He said girls like you only want money."

Ji-woo went quiet.

Because that hurt.

Tae-oh noticed.

Stood up.

Walked to her.

"Hey," he said. Soft.

"He’s wrong. Okay?

You don’t want my money.

You don’t even want me."

Ji-woo looked up.

"I... I do want you," she whispered.

Tae-oh froze.

"What?"

"I want you, Kang Tae-oh.

Not your money. Not your name.

Just you."

Tae-oh stared at her.

For a long time.

Then he said it.

Quiet.

Like he was scared.

"I like you too, Park Ji-woo."

Ji-woo’s breath caught.

"What?"

"I LIKE YOU," Tae-oh said. Louder.

"I’ve liked you since the first day.

Since you didn’t cry in the cafeteria.

Since you ate that red bean bread in my car."

Ji-woo started crying.

"Stupid," Tae-oh said. And wiped her tears.

"Don’t cry. Please."

He pulled her into a hug.

Tight.

"I’ve got you," he whispered. "Again."

Part 3: WINTER DATE

Saturday. Library + Hot Chocolate.

Tae-oh texted: Meet me. 2 PM. Library.

Ji-woo went.

Tae-oh was there.

With 2 hot chocolates.

And a blanket.

"Date?" Ji-woo asked.

"Study date," Tae-oh said. Ears red.

"With blankets and hot chocolate?"

"Shut up and sit."

They studied.

But mostly they talked.

About dreams.

About family.

About how Tae-oh hated being "the Chairman’s son".

"I just want to be me," he said.

"You are," Ji-woo said. "You’re Tae-oh."

Tae-oh looked at her.

"Yeah. I am. When I’m with you."

He reached across the table.

Held her hand.

Right there in the library.

No one said anything.

Because it was Tae-oh.

Part 4: YUNA'S LAST DESPERATE MOVE

Monday. School Forum.

A post went viral.

"SCHOLARSHIP GIRL DATING CHAIRMAN’S SON FOR MONEY"

With photos.

Of them at the library.

Holding hands.

Comments:

"Gold digger"

"She’s using him"

"Chairman will kick her out soon"

Ji-woo saw it during lunch.

And ran to the bathroom.

To cry.

The door opened.

Tae-oh.

"Who let you in the girls’—"

"Shut up," Tae-oh said.

Pulled her into a hug.

"I saw it," Ji-woo sobbed. "I’m sorry—"

"Don’t apologize," Tae-oh said. Angry.

"To them. Not to me."

He pulled back.

Wiped her face.

"Come with me."

Part 5: PUBLIC CONFESSION

School Assembly. 1:00 PM.

Tae-oh dragged Ji-woo to the stage.

Grabbed the mic.

The whole school went silent.

"That post is true," Tae-oh said.

Everyone gasped.

"I am dating Park Ji-woo."

"I do like her."

"And she doesn’t want my money.

Because she’s the richest person I know.

She’s smart. She’s kind. She’s strong.

And she chose me when she didn’t have to."

He looked at Ji-woo.

"So if you have a problem with her,

You have a problem with me.

Understood?"

Silence.

Then... clapping.

Slow at first.

Then everyone.

Even the teachers.

Tae-oh took Ji-woo’s hand.

And walked off stage.

Yuna was in the back.

Crying.

Part 6: NIGHT. ROOFTOP.

8:00 PM. School Rooftop.

Tae-oh brought Ji-woo here.

City lights everywhere.

Cold.

He wrapped his jacket around her.

Then his arms around her too.

From behind.

"Are you okay?" he whispered in her ear.

"Ne," Ji-woo whispered back. "Because of you."

Tae-oh rested his chin on her shoulder.

"My dad will probably be mad."

"I don’t care," Ji-woo said.

"Me neither," Tae-oh said.

Then he turned her around.

Looked at her.

Serious.

"Park Ji-woo. Be my girlfriend.

For real. Not just rumors."

Ji-woo smiled.

Through tears.

"Yes, Kang Tae-oh. I will."

Tae-oh smiled too.

The real one.

And kissed her.

First kiss.

Soft.

Cold from the winter air.

But warm.

When they pulled back,

Tae-oh whispered:

"My girl."

"Your boy," Ji-woo whispered back.
