_Escape from the past_
Mia's childhood was marked by adversity and hardship, as her guardian and cousin Alex treated her with cruelty and contempt. Despite her best efforts to please them, Mia was constantly belittled and made to feel like a burden. The physical and emotional abuse took a toll on her self-esteem, leaving her feeling worthless and unloved. Her aunt would often belittle her, calling her "worthless" and "a burden." Mia was never good enough, no matter how hard she tried. The physical abuse started when Mia was around 10 years old. Her aunt would hit her with a spoon, leaving her with bruises and scars. Mia's cousin would join in mocking her and calling her names. The verbal abuse was just as painful, with her aunt constantly telling her she was "unlovable" and "would never amount to anything." Mia's aunt controlled every aspect of her life, from what she wore to what she ate. She was never allowed to have friends over or go to parties, and her aunt would often confiscate her, Mia felt isolated and alone, with no one to turn to for help. Despite her best efforts to please her aunt, Mia was never good enough. She was constantly criticized and belittled, made to feel like she was a burden to her family. The maltreatment and bullying took a toll on Mia's self-esteem, leaving her feeling worthless and unlovable. As she grew older, Mia realized that her aunt's behavior was not normal. She began to see that she was being abused, and that she deserved better. But the scars of her childhood ran deep, and Mia struggled to shake off the feeling of being unworthy and unloved. Mia, a determined 22-year-old, sat in her aunt small apartment, surrounded by the remnants of a difficult past. Orphaned at a young age, she was raised by her aunt and cousin, Alex, who always made her feel like a burden. Despite the hardships, Mia's kind heart and fierce independence drove her to pursue a better life. As she gazed out the window, her mind wandered to her childhood. She remembered the countless nights she went to bed with an empty stomach, the worn-out clothes she wore to school, and the feeling of being an outsider in her own family. But Mia refused to let her past define her. She worked multiple jobs to support herself and her education, determined to create a brighter future. Mia's eyes welled up with tears as she packed her small bag, her hands shaking with fear and determination. She have had enough of her aunt's cruelty, ill treatment and abuse. The last beating had left her with a swollen eye and bruises all over her body. She took a deep breath, grabbed her bag, and made a run for the door. Her aunt's angry shouts and cousin's mocking laughter echoed behind her as she fled the only home she had known for 12 years. The streets were cold and unforgiving, Mia felt utterly alone. She had no money, no phone, and no idea where to go. She wandered for hours, tears streaming down her face, until she stumbled upon a small park. Exhausted and hungry, Mia collapsed on a bench, her body shaking with sobs. She felt like she had hit rock bottom, with no one to turn to and no way to support herself. As night fell, Mia realized she had to find shelter. As Mia wandered the streets, feeling hopeless and alone, she stumbled upon a small café. She hesitated for a moment, then stepped inside, drawn by the warm aroma of freshly brewed coffee. The café was cozy, with comfortable chairs and soft music playing in the background. Mia took a seat at the counter, feeling a sense of relief wash over her. The barista, a kind-eyed lady with a warm smile, greeted her. "Hey there, sweetheart. What can I get for you?" Mia hesitated, unsure of what to say. The barista noticed her distress and approached her. "Hey, are you okay? You look like you've been through a rough patch." Mia burst into tears, unable to hold back her emotions. The barista quickly poured her a cup of hot tea and listened as Mia poured out her story. The barista, whose name was Sophia, listened with compassion and understanding. When Mia finished speaking, Sophia took her hand. "Come with me, Mia. You're coming home with me. I have a spare room, and you can stay as long as you need. We'll get you back on your feet, I promise." Mia was taken aback by Sophia's kindness. No one had ever shown her such compassion and generosity before. Sophia took Mia to her cozy little house on the outskirts of town. She fed her a warm meal, listened to her stories, and offered her a safe haven. Over the next few weeks, sophia helped Mia get back on her feet. She found her a job at the café, helped her apply for a new ID and phone, and even took her to see a doctor for her injuries. Mia was overwhelmed with gratitude for Sophia's kindness. She had never known someone like her before, someone who cared for her without expecting anything in return, what hurts Mia the most is that her aunt never tried searching for her, to know her whereabout. As she settled into her new life, Mia realized that she had finally found a true friend, a person who would stand by her through thick and thin. And for the first time in her life, she felt like she was home. Mia was happy fulfill, she beam of joy and pray for Sophia. "Mia beamed with joy at her new role as a barista. She thoroughly read the cafe's rules and regulations, and they provided her with a crisp uniform. With her first day scheduled for tomorrow, she took her time to prepare, ironing her uniform and polishing her shoes until they shone. Determined to excel, she vowed to put in her best effort and become one of A Sophia's cafe's top baristas."
