“What’s this?” he uttered, lifting the blanket in order to reveal her bare legs. She lowered the blanket hastily. “I-I just got cold,” she stuttered nervously, averting her gaze. “That’s okay,” he reassured her. “You can use my bed sheets,” he offered generously. She glanced sideways at the bedsheet lying innocently on the floor as she considered how uncomfortable it would be sleeping on the bed without any clothes on. Suddenly, an idea came to mind and she glanced back at James, who was sitting motionless on the bed. “Can I borrow some pajamas, James?” she pleaded pleadingly. “It’s late.
