11 JANUARY 2018 Even as Emily’s train pulled up at the station, she saw Rowan waiting for her. He was leaning against the wall of the station building, casually resting the sole of his left foot on the wall and tapping away at his phone. She was surprised that he wasn’t that awkward around her. She had expected that their kiss would have made him all the more self-conscious, but that wasn’t the case. He smiled widely and stuck his phone in his coat pocket. “New coat,” Emily pointed out. He wasn’t dressed in his usual leather jacket but a new, longer, woolly coat. It was still black, but it looked good on him. “I know.
