Chapter thirty-six

1374 Words

Kimberly's POV I barely closed an eye all night. I kept listening to Cherry's shallow breathing trying to make that calm me down, but it just wasn't the same as that heavy breathing I was used to. Neither was the bed. It was too hard for my body to relax in, the sheets too coarse compared to the silk sheets Landon had ordered to be put on the bed and also a bit too small. Cherry was taking up most of the space and I had somehow managed to forget about the fact that she was a violent sleeper, not being able to lay still whatsoever. That resulted in me either getting kicked over the legs or slapped in the chest or face. Not a fun night. I wanted nothing more than to just go back to Landon, but the more I thought of him, the more I began overthinking. What if he didn't want me back?
