Chapter three

2155 Words
Kimberly's POV When I got home, Cherry was straight in my face already bouncing up and down from the news.  “I am so jealous of you right now!” Cherry whined from the kitchen.  She already knew about the job from Melanie, another girl living here, but I had just informed her about the specifics and to say that she was excited on my behalf was an understatement.  “Mr. Wallace is the hottest man out there!” she shrieked. “Oh, and he is filthy rich,” she added as she skipped into the room.  “This is just like any other job Cherry,” I shrugged. “Well almost.” “What do you mean by almost?” “He doesn’t want s*x,” I said casually.  “What?!” she exclaimed. “Okay, now I’m not that jealous after all. Being with that piece of meat for a week and not being able to get a taste? No thanks,” she said while waving her hands dramatically in the air. “It doesn’t bother me much,” I shrugged.  “I’m not surprised,” Cherry said. “You never really liked this part of the job.” “True,” I smiled. “But as long as it puts food on the table, right?” “When will you be going?” she asked plopping on the bed.  “Friday apparently.” “I’m going to miss you, ya know,” she said looking at her legs.  “I’m going to come back,” I laughed. “Besides you’ll be fine,” I assured her.  “Fine?” she asked. “I’ll be lucky if I don’t end up with only having 2 brain cells left like the rest of the girls here,” she said rolling her eyes. “You are the only one keeping me sane.” “Don’t let the others hear you say that,” I chuckled.  “Duh, they won’t even be able to understand what it means,” she said making me laugh.  “Be nice!” I scolded. “Don’t get into trouble while I’m away, okay?”  Cherry was younger than me by one year, and she was like the little sister I never had. She was more experienced with this job than I was, but she also tended to get into trouble a lot. Leaving her would be the hardest part even though it only was for a week.  “I can’t make any promises,” she said batting her lashes.  “Cherry…” “Fine,” she sighed. “I’ll try not to.” “Thank you,” I smiled. “Now, is there anything specific I need to know about his Mr. Wallace?” “Mr. Wallace… huh,” Caitlyn’s annoying voice spoke. “You know, he will return you within a day if he knows what’s best for him.” Her slippery appearance became visible as she walked through the door. Her long blonde hair, fake boobs so big that her poor clothes had a hard time keeping them hidden, and her sunken cheeks… Well, I never really understood how anyone could find someone like her attractive, but whatever floats their boat right.  “Shut it Caitlyn you- “ “Cherry,” I interrupted as I put my hand on her shoulder. “Don’t even bother.” “You should learn from her little girl,” Caitlyn snickered. “She at least knows when to back away from a fight.” “Who says I’m backing away? I just know better than to argue with someone who barely has enough brain cells to form a decent sentence.”  Cherry looked at me in shock, a smirk playing on her lips, while Caitlyn pursed hers, huffed, and turned around to leave while trying not to fall over in her way too high heels. Just as she reached the door she turned around.  “You better watch your back.”   And gone she was.  Cherry looked at me and before I knew it, we both burst out laughing.  “Damn girl, I never knew you had it in you.” “I was getting tired of hearing her obnoxious voice in my head,” I chuckled.  When our laughter died out Cherry looked at me with sad eyes and a pout on her lips.  I knew what she was going to say before she spoke so instead, I just took her in my arms and hugged her tight.  “It’s only a week, I will be back before you know it.” The next few days went by fast, and it was now time for me to leave.  I had been woken up early to get all of my tests done. Not only for STDs and the standard drug test but also to see if I had taken my birth control regular which seemed a little odd to me considering that we weren’t going to have s*x. However, I did as I was asked. We were being tested on a regular basis anyway, so I just got it over with. Madame Elenore had after that prepped not only my luggage but had also prepped me by dressing me in a navy-blue, tight-fitting dress. It enhanced all of my curves but in the most elegant and classy way. She had paired it with some black heels and a black handbag. It was weird being dressed like this again, but Mr. Wallace wanted classy, so classy was what he got. Not that there was much class over me anymore. I had worked at Millionaire Match for some time now, which meant that I had done more sinful things than would make me pass by as a classy person.  “You got it all?” Cherry asked.  “Yeah, everything is set,” I said.  I could feel myself getting nervous as hell. This was not something I was used to. I mean it sure beat the regulars, but the no-s*x part was out of the ordinary and the whole staying there a week was different too.  My only real concern about this would be whether or not I got time enough to visit my mother.  “Remember, no trouble,” I reminded her.  “No trouble,” she repeated.  “That goes for you too,” Elenore said in a strict tone as she approached us. “He will be here soon enough so stand up straight and smile.”   Landon’s POV   As the car pulled over, I felt the urge to say screw this and go straight back home, but since I already paid for it, I’d might as well go get it. To be completely honest I had no respect for hookers at all. They were nothing more but a convenience for when you needed them and right now, I needed one.  “I’ll be right out,” I said to my driver James who nodded.  Walking into the building it was easy to tell which one of them was my date for the upcoming week. I could only see her back, but she was the only one besides Elenore who was dressed nicely. The blue dress hugged her curves and made her round ass stand out perfectly. Her long straight hair went to the middle of her back and her legs… her longs legs were to die for.  I felt myself get filled with a desire as my c**k twitched in excitement.  Traitor. I had to remind myself that this was for business, not pleasure.  “Hello, Elenore,” I greeted as I got close enough.  “Welcome Mr. Wallace,” she said as she shook my hand. “This will be your date for the week,” she said as she turned the girl around to face me.  The smile on her face was fake and it was easy to see. At least for me, it was. It didn’t reach her eyes at all, her crystal blue eyes. As deep blue as the ocean with a sparkle like when the sun’s rays hit it from the right angle.  The f*****g hell was that.  “This is…” Elenore began but I quickly cut her off.  “I’d rather we did the introduction under four eyes,” I spoke.  “Of course,” she smiled and backed away leaving us in peace.  “I am Landon Wallace as you may already know,” I said and stretched out my hand.  “I’m Kimmie,” she smiled.  “Kimmie?” I asked lifting my brow. “Is that short for something?” “Yeah, Kimberly,” she said quickly. “You can call me whatever you prefer.” “Which one do you prefer?” I asked her and watched as confusion appeared on her face.  However, it was removed as quickly as it had appeared and replaced with the same fake smile, she had on a few seconds ago. She was good, I had to give her that.  “Kimberly, sir.” “Perfect, are you ready?”  “Yes,” she said and grabbed her suitcases before I could do it.  “Hello, miss,” James said as he opened the door.  “Hello,” she smiled. “Thank you.” It was easy to tell that he was looking at her ass when she got in the car which to my surprise annoyed me.  “I’d appreciate it if you focused on doing your job,” I said in a low voice.  “Of course, sir,” he nodded.  “So, you know about your job?” I asked her once I was settled in as well. “Yes,” she nodded. “I’ll be your date for the charity week, we will be pretending to be in a relationship and there will be no s*x,” she said.  The way her lips looked when the words s*x rolled over them made me want to taste them.  What the hell was wrong with me today. Had it been that long ago since I last got laid?  “Good, now we need a background story for you, something that will be easy to remember,” I said clearing my throat as I grabbed the scotch on the side and poured myself a glass. “You want one?” “Yes please,” she said.  She was definitely well-mannered and highly polite. It was easy to see that she was not faking it which wasn’t very common for a prostitute.    “Do you like coffee?” she asked out of nowhere.  “Yes, why?” “Let’s say we met at a coffee shop,” she said. “I can be clumsy at times, so I accidentally bumped into you and spilled the coffee all over your shirt, and it went from there?” she suggested.  For a second, I was about to laugh at how stupid it sounded because in all honesty it sounded like some made-up s**t from a movie, but then again, it was completely different from how I met Lina which was perfect. I had always said I did not believe in love at first sight, so going with this story surely would piss her off.  “Sounds good,” I said taking a sip. “Now about what you do for a living…” I began but she interrupted.  “Law school,” she said quickly before looking out the window.  “Law school?” I repeated. “Isn’t that a little too much considering…” I trailed off. “Considering that I f**k for a living?” she asked pursing her lips.  “I wouldn’t have put it like that but yeah,” I said and felt slightly disgusted with how easily I agreed.  The way she talked about herself annoyed me.  “I went to law school,” she said taking me by surprise. “Before all of this. You said you wanted it to be believable and easy to remember right? Then this is the story to go with.” “You did?” I asked sounding a bit more shocked than I probably should.  “I did yeah,” she said and took another sip.  “Why did you stop?” I asked.  “Family stuff,” she shrugged.  Law school was expensive which meant that she must have had money at some point. Maybe that was why she was so well-mannered? Maybe there was more to her than just this.  Not that I cared. “Okay, let’s go with that,” I said offering her a smile.  “You’re not going to ask?” she asked looking confused at me.  “You didn’t seem like it was something you wanted to discuss further,” I shrugged.  “Thank you,” she said in a low voice and smiled at me.  A genuine one.
