Chapter 25As the days passed, Shelby became more relaxed. She and Kaela played hard and it was obvious to Georgia and Sean that Shelby had found her childhood again. Sean knocked himself out, especially with Shelby, teasing and making them laugh. One afternoon, the girls came in soaking wet from making angels in the snow. Georgia asked them to strip down in front of the wood stove and was busy hanging the wet items on a clothes line above the fire box to dry. Shelby had already redressed, while Kaela was taking her time removing her wet clothes. Sean headed out the back door for more firewood.
“Can I come and help?” Shelby asked. She grabbed one of Sean's jackets and put it on. It hung to the ground.
