Alex gave Laxton’s body to Caleb and instructed him to announce his death. Then he sent a mind link to everyone in the pack that a new Alpha will be installed tomorrow. We can’t have a power vacuum for too long.
“It looks like they’re here to wipe off all the information we have on the silver nitrate solution,” Christine said as soon as we walked into the messy temporary lab.
Alex had shifted back to his human form and pulled on a pair of pants. After he put me down, Wyatt and Ellie approached me, their faces etched with worry.
“Bella! How’re you?” Wyatt asked.
“Is Laxton really dead?” Ellie added.
“I’m fine, I didn’t get hurt too badly. I’ll go to the hospital later and yes, Laxton is dead,” I answered simply. They looked stunned for a while before sighing in relief.
