Kingsley P.O.V
Everyone believed that I am the luckiest man in town. being the only son to a multi millionaire is a huge position that comes with huge responsibility.
I never had a normal childhood like other children. By the age of seven, it was decided that I would have a degree business studies in an already decided University in this country. I had always wished to travel to the U.S.A for my University like other children from rich homes but my father will not permit.
My father had the opinion that children who travelled abroad to further their studies, usually gets carried away by peer influences and consequently end up disappointing their parents.
That had never stopped us from spending most summer holidays in my father's mansion in Philadelphia.
I however, spend every other holiday and free time working for my father, mostly at the head office in V.I, where I do all sorts of work like office assistant, secretary, receptionist and more. Dad believe I need to have variety of experience in order to be a better CEO some day.
My father choose Nnamdi Azikiwe University, Awka for my business studies. owing to the fact that they have the best school of business studies in Nigeria.
After my degree, I was allowed to go to London for my masters. I made lots of friends in London and also had flings with girls over there.
In London, I also met a friend and business partner Mr Xavier Rayne. We were then in same masters class although he owned multi billion companies around the world at such young age. He explained that it was a family business left for him buy his father.
Apart from the fact that he acts weird and goes awol from time to time, he is a nice guy. His influence has gotten me some London business partners for which my dad is very proud of me.
Xavier and I had been making plans on when he can visit Nigeria to explore the Oil and Gas industry. There is a new project my company is venturing into and I hope he will approve the proposal I e mailed to him and get over here soon. I enjoy his company.
currently, I am twenty- eight years old and already in charge my father's company at Abuja. My dad is still actively involved in the running of the business but I make most business decisions.
Abuja is a beautiful town, with lots of side distractions. I am not the type that mix business with pressure. I take my work serious. That is why at the age of twenty-four, I have successfully sealed many business deals and won so many contract and connections for the company.
No wonder I was named the youngest business don two years ago.
However, being rich and popular comes with it's own temptations which most times, I am glad to indulge.
Being the heir to Obikosi international group of companies, all girls proudly throw themselves at me which is something I love so much. 'winks'
Every man needs s*x from time regularly and when it is offered frequently, well, who am I to say no?
Abuja offers the best variety of night life so after the days work, I visit any restaurant or club depending on my mood to relax and maybe find myself a babe for the night.
I don't believe in the relationship s**t. Nah, not my thing. Every lady I come in contact with, already knew who I am so they usually are interested in the money and gifts I can offer. I know I am handsome and all, but I am no fool to think that they love me. I am ok with that because, I don't need any clingy girl by my side in the name of love.
Being the only son, my mom is already stressing me out with her marriage talks but I am not ready to settle down yet.
It was Friday night. After work, I had returned to my duplex in Maitama area. my father owns many of these in different cities and states where our companies are situated. our business head office is in Victoria island, Lagos, hence, my parents live in one of the duplex at ikoyi Lagos.
My dinner was already prepared by our cook, madame mercy, a Calabar lady in her late forty. she works as cook and house keeper.
thanks mercy I said after enjoying the delicious pounded yam with nsala soup she presented for dinner and a glass of fresh grape juice.
please tell Akpan that we will be leaving by 9pm.
I preferred going with one of my drivers to a night club or any night outing because I am usually half drunk and busy with my female conquest on the way home. besides I hate the idea of driving after taking alcohol.
I, then decided to call my baby sister Julie before heading out. it's been a week since we spoke last. she is one of my true friends because, she is the only one I can conveniently confined in. I don't lack friends though because both male and female friends surrounded me regularly. but Julie is the only person I could open up to whenever I need to.
she knows the true me, my pains and my weakness. To other people, I am a carefree, business minded and hard working wealthy guy.
she picked at the second ring. xup big bro she scream. that's my sister, loud and jovial. she will always lift your spirit no matter how down you are. I couldn't help the broad smile on my face
xup you? so because you are almost a graduate, you forgot your big bro.
hahahaha. you are not serious. do you ever think of your baby sis? when you are busy with Abuja babes she replied playfully. I can imagine her face, I know she is pouting.
not like that darling, you know you are the best sister in the whole world and I can't exchange you for any other girl in the world. Work has been tough these days but you are always top on my mind.
hmmmm, I know bro. I wish you luck bro. make dad and mom proud and make a name for yourself. As for me, you will always be my hero.
thanks Julie. how is school generally? hope no boy is disturbing you? I need you to face you studies now this final year.
Boys ke? after my experience back home and the way you treat girls. I am officially done with boys and men whatever.
I chuckled at that. her first experience at love had been a failure. the bast**d even had the got to make out with Rita in my house.
To think that my sister had been trying to hook me up with Rita. eww, that sl*t.
Although she is definitely pretty with curves in the right places but I never liked her. I admit that Rita is a pretty girl, don't get me wrong but she is too flirty for my liking.
kings, kings, are you still there? my sister called back my wandering mind.
yes what did you say?
speak to my roommate. she must have said that before when I was in my own thoughts
ok, give the phone.
