Chapter 24 – What is He Thinking

1289 Words
Jayden’s POV I cannot believe the nerve of Aiden to think that he can pull a stunt like this after we showed him so much leniency. Christian could have just killed him, and our problems would have been over. We knew Madison would feel bad so we let him go, but now I am pissed off that he thinks he can sue her. I convinced her to ignore the lawyer's letter for now. I will not let anything stop me from marrying her today. After today I will have a conversation with the family about him suing her. How laughable is this situation I would just rather put a bullet in his head, My thoughts are disturbed by excessive knocking on the door of my suite. I go to open the door and see the two idiots Christian and Caleb. “What do you two assholes want. I don’t have time for your nonsense I am heading to marry the most beautiful woman in the world.” I say. They both chuckle and shake their heads. “Man you got it bad, but I understand you have waited a long time to marry the woman of your dreams. I have always seen you as my brother but today will make us officially family. Please don’t screw it up, I would hate to have to kill you.” Christian said. I just rolled my eyes at his antics. “There is someone you can kill but I am not the one.” I say. They all look at me with puzzled eyes. I figure I need to go ahead and get this off my chest. So, I decide to tell them that Aiden is suing Madison based on the fact that she lied throughout their entire marriage. “He feels like he is due compensation. I ask her to put it aside until after the wedding and then we figure out what to do.” I say, “Some people just don’t know how to cherish their chances to breathe, which is what I gave that bastard. Now I will be out for blood. I told him that I would stop at nothing to put a bullet in a person head that hurt my sisters.” Christian says. “Let’s just get you married right now bro, and I will investigate any claims they think they have after this is over. I guess I didn’t due my job properly as the family attorney, because I should have asked to see this so-called divorce agreement. We were just so focused on finding her that I stopped at just making sure she was free from him. That is a mistake that I will rectify very soon.” Caleb said. I am glad I decided to tell them because now I can breathe easy and get married to the woman of my dreams. I stand back up and Christian claps me on the back and we head down to the venue to see the most beautiful woman in the world marry me. I need to only think of happy thoughts at these moments. When we arrived at the beach where the wedding is happening, I smile because I see that both our grandparents have made it along with the rest of our immediate families. Our moms really did go all out because it is beautiful. I am sure it cost them extra to put this all together so fast. I made my way to the front to stand next to the minister. Christian and Caleb takes their place next to me. I am glad that my brothers are here to support me. I think back to my first wedding, and it was not as pleasurable because I was a pissed off groom. I didn’t have this big ass kool aide grin on my face like I do now being nervous praying she don’t change her mind. I wander if she is just as nervous as I am. I look out in the crowd to try and calm my nerves and at that moment I think I see someone I shouldn’t, but the person disappears. Maybe I am just tripping due to being nervous. So I brush it off that’s when I feel Christian touch my shoulder. “Brother you ok looks like something spooked you just now.” He says. “ Call me crazy or nervous but I thought I caught a glimpse of some dressed like they were disguising themselves, but then they disappeared quickly. Hey bro don’t mind me I am probably just a nervous groom. “What the hell you got to be nervous about. You are finally marrying the woman of your dreams. This time around you love her and she loves you.” Caleb says. He is right let me get out of my head. I wander how Madison is doing because I haven’t seen our moms come out yet. Just as I was thinking that I see them being escorted to their seats and they look every bit as happy as I am right now. I know this is it and it is time to see the most beautiful bride in the world. Madison’s POV I am supposed to be the happiest woman alive right now, finally getting to marry the man of my dreams. But here I am sitting here thinking about that asshole suing me. I push it out of my mind because I promised Jayden we would deal with it after the wedding. The makeup artist is done with me, so I stand up to let the moms and sisters see. They are all just staring at me I wander if I look bad. My mom stands up with a smile and says that I am truly her daughter because I inherited her looks. I just shake my head at her because she is always so competitive with my dad. She tells him all the time her children’s beauty come from her side of the family. I laugh because my mom is truly beautiful, and my dad always reminds her of how beautiful she is. That is the kind of marriage I want one day. When I get out there my dad is waiting for me, and I would swear I see tears in his eyes. He tries to be a man that show no feelings, but he loves his children more than anything. I take my dads arm and smile at him. “You ready for this baby girl? This one is going to last forever I promise you or I will kill him.” He says. I just laugh because I know he loves Jayden as much as he loves me. I squeeze his arm, and he begins to walk me down the isle to the man I love. I look up nervously and see Jayden staring at me with nothing but love in his eyes. He is drooling so my mom was right I look amazing. He can’t take his eyes off me. I chuckle because my dad is being his usual self cracking bad dad jokes. “Baby girl you still have time to run he is staring at you like a predator.” My dad says. Oh my gosh my dad needs mental help. He manages to get me down the isle and hand me over to Jayden. We turn to face the minister, and he begins the ceremony. He asks if there is anybody that knows why these two should not be married speak now or forever hold your peace. Out of nowhere we hear “I object to this marriage.” We both turned around to see who it is, what the f**k are they doing here.
