Prologue
Madison’s POV
I slowly opened my eyes. My head is pounding like someone is constantly hammering me in it. I try closing my eyes and reopening to try and gain clarity of what was going on. I try to get up, but my legs are cuffed to the railing of the bed. My instincts kick in and I start to move around and scream to the top of my lungs. “Help Me! Somebody please helps me! At that moment someone burst through the door. I instantly got scared, but I slowly lifted my head and that’s when I see my soon to be ex-husband staring at me with a evil smirk on his face. That’s when all my memories of the previous day came flooding back to me.
The previous day I left home to go to the doctor, I had an appointment to find out why I had been experiencing morning sickness. I left my doctor’s office in a happy mood after finding out my dream of the last two years had finally come true. I was so excited and could not wait to get home and surprise Aiden Greene, my husband, with the news of my pregnancy. But unfortunately, my happiness was shattered with just one text message and phone call. I received a text message as soon as I got to the car. I got inside and decided to read my text before driving, which was a big mistake. Because there it was the most devastating thing I had ever received, there on my phone was a s*x video of my husband of the last two years and his assistant Sarah having s*x. If the video wasn’t enough to crush my bleeding heart she sent a message along with it. “Ha! You thought your husband loved you so much, but we have been f*****g for the past year and now I am carrying his baby. You were always a useless wife and could never be a good enough wife for a man like him. Then she signed her name Sarah.
I just sat there for I don’t know how long and let the tears flow down my face. Why now Aiden is all I kept repeating to myself. I had given this man everything. I was the reason he was doing so well in the business world. I had encouraged my brother Christian Anderson to award this ungrateful bastard all those contracts that help him save his dying company. Aiden has no idea the bucket he has kicked over, he never knew that I was the daughter of one of the most riches and ruthless businessmen in the world. My dad Charles Anderson not only controls the business world in America but he, along with his best friend Henry Adams, run one of the most powerful mafia families. Aiden has no idea what he has done by cheating on the princess of the Anderson family. He really should have kept his d**k in his pants and not in that slut.
I get my emotions together to go and confront my husband. Before I could start my car my phone rings. “I swear to God if this is that b***h calling me, I think I am going to kill her with my bare hands.” I scream. But to my surprise it is actually my cheating, lying husband. I answer the call and he does not give me a chance to say one word. “Madison get your ass home now, I don’t have all day to wait on you.” Aiden yells. He does not give me time to respond before he disconnects the call. I just sit there and stare at the blank screen not believing all of this was happening. Aiden has never once raised his voice at me throughout the last two years of marriage. Where is all his animosity coming from today towards me.
I sat there for a moment crying my heart out. “Why now Aiden! I scream as I put my car in drive. Arriving at home yesterday is when my life changed forever. Aiden was present with the three bitches, his mother, sister and the slut mistress. His mother Clara and sister Lydia had a nervous look on their faces, but the b***h Sarah had a smirk of pure justice on her face. I noticed at that moment that all my luggage was sitting at the front door. I was truly heartbroken that Aiden was actually doing this to me now. Especially since I just found out that I am two months pregnant. Aiden does not say anything but take a stack of papers out of his briefcase and throw them on the table in front of me without any explanation. The only thing that he said was to sign the papers. I nervously pick up the paperwork with a shaking hand my heart fell when I read the title of the stack of papers, “Divorce Agreement” I was stunned that Aiden was doing this out of the blue. I thought we were happy. I knew his mother and sister didn’t like me and they always tried to cause a problem, but I assumed we could make it through anything since we loved each other. I stood there and continued to read the papers, but I stopped after reading the first paragraph, “ I Madison Greene will leave this marriage just how I entered it with nothing. I am not entitled to any royalties from the Greene family. Aiden Greene will no longer be responsible for any of his wife’s expenses from the day forth.” I was so disgusted that I could not read anymore. I immediately grabbed the pen he provided and signed the papers. Then I got up and headed toward the door but not without throwing the papers in his face. His anger got the best of him at that moment.
He jumps up and come to grab me by my arms squeezing me tight and shaking me by my arms. “You ungrateful b***h, what right do you have to be angry when you couldn’t fulfil the simplest duty of a wife. You could not give me a child in the two years we have been married. I was embarrassed by you, which is why I never took you out in front of my colleagues. I needed a woman like Sarah on my arm she is the reason I am so successful in my business. She is the reason I am getting all the contracts that I have and after I sign this next contract with the famous Anderson family I will be in a whole other class and you will just not fit in our world like Sarah, who also comes from a family that is prominent in the business world. So you see Madison you are useless, and I can not keep letting Sarah be seen as a mistress.” Aiden says. He lets me go and that’s when I was slapped hard on the right side of my face by Lydia his sister. I lose my balance and stumble over all my luggage and fall to the ground. I immediately feel pain shooting through my abdomen. Everything flooded to black.
I woke up in the hospital being told that I had lost my baby. Devasted, I requested not to see anybody. For the doctor to grant my wish, I had to tell the doctor my identity. My family owns the hospital and of course she would do anything for the daughter of the Anderson family. At that moment I made a call, dialing a number I never planned to call again. The man I have loved since I was a little girl Jayden Adams and the man that first broke my heart. Now all I needed to do was wait for him to come get me, but I didn’t expect to be abducted from the hospital that same night.
