Third Person POV
The family stares at the abrupt departure of Madison and Charles. They all are confused about Madison behavior they feel like she maybe coming unglued. Only her new husband is willing to give her the benefit of the doubt. Despite how odd her behavior has been everything she has said has some truth hidden. Jayden feels they all just need to be patient and let her find her place back in the family. In the room next door Madison is hoping that her father and their head of security can shed some light on the new bodyguard that seems familiar to her.
“Madison you are really scaring me. Do we need to get you some appointments set up, for you too see some one to help you work through your issues. Because I cannot take to many more of your outburst.” Charles says. Madison screams and pull at her hair. “Dad will you just shut the hell up and listen.” Madison says. The room gets eerily quiet and the two men in the room just stare at her. “Listen dad I am sorry about the outburst but if I am right then this could not wait. Carlos you and dad was there last night when I told y’all that I felt there was a traitor sharing information with the enemy. Well, I think it is safe to say that it is one of your guys. Not saying anything about you because you have been part of my family forever, but is it possible one of the newer guys can be the culprit?” Madison says staring at the two men in front of her.
She looks at them and sees she has their attention, so she continues. “Every since Jayden and I came into the room the guard standing near Alex and Karl has been staring at me. I could feel his eyes on me but every time I look up, he looks away. Well, I stared at him and that’s when it hit me that I have seen him before. Dad, do you remember before I married Aiden you decided to take me along on a meeting with on of your dons. There were a couple of young men working in his organization. You told me that you and Uncle Henry didn’t like the way he did business. The only reason you were getting close to him was to get rid of his family. I don’t remember the name of the family, but I am more than sure that’s one of the guys he called his nephew. I just wander if that family has a connection to Maverick since Christian is so sure he is behind all this.” Madison says.
The two men are in shock and speechless not knowing what to say. Neither wants to speak up first and she is getting irritated. “The guy you are talking about name is Jordan. I have been keeping a close eye on him the last couple of days, because he has been snooping around. He was also the one that was supposed to be guarding the door when Chloe was able to get in the wedding.” Carlos said. “Dad how do you want to handle it, I think we should act as though we are none the wiser and try to catch him in the act. He doesn’t know we are own to him.” Madison said.
“I don’t mind letting this play out but not at the risk of your safety. All these attacks seem to be connected to you. You are there primary target and I want compromise your safety. You need to figure out away to alert your husband of the situation before we board the plane in two hours. Let’s get back in there before everyone gets suspicious.” Charles said. The three of them left the room and renter the dining hall.
Madison sits back down next to Jayden and finish eating her food. She leans into him and tell him she is not feeling well. He touches her forehead and ask if she wants to go back up to the room to lie down until it’s time to go and she nods. He gets up and calls Alex over. “Alex do you still have the keys to our room? Madison wants to lay down until we leave because she is not feeling well.” Jayden says. “Yes, boss I decided to hold on to all the keys just in case the woman wanted to freshen up before we leave.” Alex said. Jayden thanks him and tell him to come up to the room with us so he can watch the door, so they aren’t disturbed until we get ready to leave. He follows them back up to the room but when they get there Madison pushes Alex in the room along with Jayden. She tells them to take a seat on the sofa. She explained to them what she discovered but Carlos is trying to gain evidence.
“That bastard, I had my suspicions of him when Chloe got in the wedding. Me and Karl talked about it. Now that I think about it, he has been the one handling the situation with Chloe. I need to go check to make sure she is still locked up while he is downstairs with the rest of the family. I have the keys to all the rooms so I will be right back if you guys are sure you are safe.” Alex said. “The way I am feeling right now I dare anyone to try and come for my wife. Well at least we know how Aiden got Madison new number, and they always know where we are. They have been one step ahead of us since that night at the Gala. Then after Christian destroy Madison old phone we did not understand how they still stayed a step ahead. You know the punishment for infiltrating our organization is death. Our family shows no mercy to those that we trust with the safety of our families. All it takes is just on f*****g snake to upset our whole setup. If he is the one that’s guilty Alex, I want a bullet in his head and I want the word to spread so that other families know not to f**k with us.” Jayden said. Alex acknowledged what Jayden said before turning around leaving us and locking us in. Madison lays on the bed to relieve some of the stress on her body. Jayden lays down beside her so that he can comfort his wife. He assured her that he would protect her with his life. Meanwhile Alex makes his way down to a lower floor were the Anderson and Adams family staff stayed this week for the wedding. He goes through the keys he has to unlock the room that Chloe is supposed to be kept in until their departure. When he opens the door, he is shocked at what he sees before him in the room. “That f*****g asshole I will kill him myself. f**k!” Alex screams.
