The gala continues after the altercation, but Maverick and his daughter are not happy at the disrespect. They all move to their tables after and being seated the staff started to serve the food. “Dad what was Madison talking about?” Aiden says. William looks at his son with disappointment on his face. “I am guessing you will find out for yourself tonight. I hope you don’t regret the decision you have made in one way or the other. I have decided this is just too much for me so I am retiring and leaving the ball in your court I have literally done all I could for you. Your life is your own from now on.” William says. The whole table is in shock because of how cold William is being. This upsets Maverick so he decided not to keep quiet any longer.

“Listen William, I don’t know what your problem is with my daughter, but you need to get over it because we are family now. My daughter is carrying your first grandchild.” Maverick says. William look at him and laughed. “First grandchild you say, I guess we will see but don’t think I am a fool Maverick I know exactly what you and your daughter are up too. I have been in the business world to long to let the likes of you get over on me. You will do yourself good to remember that. You would actually do yourself good to remember who the hell Charles Anderson and Henry Adams are, because if you did remember you would stop at baseless attempts and move on in your life. I would also like to remind you that Charles and Henry have been friends for so long that they did everything together. In this world it was always a common joke that the two best friend always tried to out do each other. There is a story that I heard a long time ago that Henry thought he had out done Charles because he had three children and Charles only had two. Then Charles decided to shut his friend up and in his older age had a child. Unfortunately he didn’t get another son like Henry but he got a princesses. Not many people know who Charles princesses is but I happened to meet her by chance one day and let’s just say I hope the people at this table are still smiling by the end of the night.” William says. After that he turned around to listen to the speeches of Charles and Henry. The two friends did not disappoint they had there usually friendly competitive banter.

“Ladies and gentlemen excuse my friend he has always tried to one up me, but I got him in the end. Tonight, is a bittersweet night for both of us because we are finally going to unite or families through the bond of marriage. Jayden son please come to the stage. Jayden here you all should get to know really well because he will be the CEO of the branches here in New York. He is going to blaze the trail with his fiancé by his side as the COO my daughter, baby girl please come up to the stage. She’s is hiding somewhere in this crowd. Oh there she is come on up baby girl.” Charles says. Everyone turns to look and see Madison walking up on the stage as she approaches she kisses her dad on his cheek and go to stand by Jayden. The table that holds the Greene and Jones family are all looking off in shock all except for William who is standing and clapping with the rest of the people in the ballroom.

“Dad, you knew all this time that Madison was an Anderson?” Aiden says dumbfounded. His dad looks at him with a disapproving look. “To answer your question yes why the hell would I send you to a girl you knew nothing about idiot.” William said. There argument was cut short because Madison stood to the podium with Jayden by her side to make a speech for the both of them. “ Good evening ladies and gentlemen it is an honor for my dad to give such a big job to us. I am actually the reason they open branches here because I have been living here for two years. He wanted to provide me with the stability he thought I needed. I am grateful to be able to stand by Jayden side because I am a little rusty. I hope together we can bring a lot more revenue and opportunities to the area.” Madison says. The crowd gives another round of applause before everyone starts to mingle again. Angry because he feels like he got played Aiden makes his way through the crowd where Madison is standing with Jayden. He grabs her arm and start to pull her out of the ballroom. Jayden is gritting his teeth because he is in the middle of a conversation, so he signals Caleb to go behind them.

“Why did you lie to me this entire time we were married Madison. You could have told me who the hell you were, but you chose to make me look like a fool. Why Madison?” Aiden says. Madison just stands there staring at him in disbelief. The nerve of this cheating asshole to question my choices. She looks up to see Caleb standing behind Aiden and she smirks. “I don’t know why Aiden maybe because you are a lying piece of s**t that never deserved my time.” Madison says. “You don’t mean that you did love me and I think you still do. I know I made a mistake and some bad choices but I thought I was doing right because Sarah was carrying my child.” Aiden says. The nerve of this bastard to stand her and talk about the b***h child when he is the reason my child is gone, she thought to herself. At that moment Madison emotions had taken over because she lifted her hand and slap Aiden as hard as she could across the face. “ You bastard you do not get to sit here in my face and talk s**t to me about your child and I lost mine Aiden. If this wasn’t a public event I would take that gun out of my security guy’s jacket and shot your lying cheating ass. You have no idea the hurt and the scars you have caused me. You don’t get to stand here and be the f*****g victim when I am the victim Aiden, me. You and your family can’t even let me live my pain in peace because you keep trying to kill me. I guess what you have already done to destroy me wasn’t enough to satisfy you.” Madison says while screaming. This alerted the attention of those inside the ballroom. They had an audience now but her emotions was too high for her to stop. Jayden had to walk up to her and pick her up and carry her away to calm down, but before he could get to far he heard a voice behind him that made his skin crawl. “Oh Jayden I am here! “ the person said. He turned to look at her and said what the hell is she doing here. This night could not get any worse.
