Madison POV
I was coming in here to show Jayden that Aiden texted me, when I overheard the conversation. I am human and my heart is still sensitive because of what I went through, so I jump to conclusions and accused Jayden wrong. I can see the hurt in his eyes when I pull away from him. After hearing my brother say I need to give Jayden time to explain I calm down. My brother and family would not let him make a fool out of me. I go and sit by him, and Caleb plays the video from start to finish for me to see. I am angry instantly. She actually did such a despicable act. I don’t understand these girls they will go through so much just to marry a rich guy. I guess they leave their self respect at home.
Then I think about Aiden calling and texting me, so I am sitting here lost in thought. This is so confusing to me, Christian just changed my phone number to prevent these types of things from happening. If the family are the only ones that had my new number and only family knew we were coming to Hawaii, that can only mean that there is a traitor among us.
“Ok let me start out by apologizing. I overreacted to the conversation you were having with out knowing all the details. I came in here to find Jayden because of a phone call that I received. While I was sleeping my phone kept ringing. So, I finally rolled over to pick it up and because I did not recognize the number, I allowed it to go to voice mail. Instead of leaving a message they sent a text instead.” I said. Then I showed them the text message. “Hey Madison please pick up the phone baby. I want you back in my life. I am sorry about the baby, but we try again. Just please give me a call back. I know you do not love this Jayden guy when you were just in love with me. I know you are using him to make me jealous. You win baby I am jealous, and I want my wife back. Just come back home and we will figure it all out. I know you left the city, but I will send you a ticket if you agree to come back home.” The text said.
“How the hell did he get your new phone number?” Jayden asks. I look at him and I can see he is pissed off. “That was the same thing I thought, because if only the family knew the new number plus where we were headed, I think someone on the team is feeding the other party information. There is a traitor among us, and we need to find out who it is soon. I really do not feel comfortable staying here knowing there is someone in our organization that we cannot trust. I just want all of this drama to be over so that we can move on with our lives.” I say. I see Jayden looking disappointed because he really wanted some alone time with me but he needs to understand we have the rest of our lives together.
“I must admit that Madison is right we need to go back with the family, we got the rest of our lives to take a honeymoon. The most important thing is keeping everybody safe until we find out what is going on, we all need to stick together. Nobody is prepared to lose someone to this drama.” Jayden said. I look at my husband with admiration because he knew exactly what I was thinking. We will have privacy because Jayden does have his own house on the family property. We all have our own houses, but we stay in the same compound that is heavily guarded. Growing up with parents in our family line of work you learn to make smart choices when it comes to safety.
My safety was never an issue before in New York because my identity was hidden. Now the situation is different because everybody knows who I am because of my dad's announcement to the business world. “Can we all just go back to bed and prepare for the family breakfast in the morning before heading to LA. Make sure that crazy b***h is securely locked up until travel.” I say and everyone nods and go back to their rooms. When we got back to our room Jayden grabs my hand before I get back in bed. I look up and without another word he kisses me. I moan because I love the intimacy between us. “Baby thank you for believing me, I know you had your doubts in the beginning, but I am glad you chose to stick by me it means the world to me.” Jayden says.
“I know you are disappointed Jayden because you wanted us to spend some alone time together for the next few weeks, but it is not working out that way. I promise before we start to set up our offices back in New York, we will come back to this beautiful place and spend some time enjoying the sun and fun things to do here.” I say. He just smiles and kisses my forehead as we get under the covers on the bed. I snuggle close to him and lay my head in his chest. I dozed off to sleep with in seconds.
“The next morning seems to come to fast because I feel drained and exhausted. I see that Jayden is already up and packing our luggage, I smile because this man is so amazing. I get up and got to the restroom to do my morning routine and then walk back in to help him finish packing the room. Once we are sure that we have everything needed we head downstairs to the family brunch prepared by the resort for the wedding guests. I see the rest of the family sitting there and we say our good morning and sit down with our food in hands. I look up and see my two bodyguards Alex and Karl along with some of the families' other guys. There is a face that I do not recognize but I have been gone for awhile but something about this guy seems off. He also looks a little familiar to me. I am slowly eating trying to rack my brain where I have seen him before. I feel Jayden touching my hand asking if I am ok. I tell him I am not sure, but I will let him know.
I continue to eat my breakfast and occasionally, I catch the unknown guard staring at me with an unpleasant look on his face, but once I notice he just looks away. That is weird right or am I just paranoid and everyone is suspicious to me because of my situation. Then I catch a good look at the side of his face and remember where I have seen him before. Oh my gosh I need to talk to my dad like right now. I jump up abruptly and look toward my dad. “Dad, I need to talk you like right now.” I say. I start to move toward my dad, and he gets up with an unease look on his face. We get to the room next door, and I pull Carlos in with us and shut the door behind. “Madison what the hell has gotten into you.” Dad says.
