Chapter 8 – Counterattack

Christian’s POV

I am so furious with these people who are trying to destroy my sister reputation. They think they can touch an Anderson and getting away with it, hell no dream on. We have already taken down the post Maverick and his men made. We got our Tech team prepared to take down any bad publicity they try. We are getting ready to have a family meeting the Anderson and Adams. Jayden is still head over heels in love with my sister. I feel so sorry that each one of there marriages turned out the way it did, but it is a good thing because I do not think the families would have a problem with them being together now. I am watching how he is sitting here guarding her from the scrutiny of the family. They feel like her post yesterday provoke this; I sigh because they are right. I know what I am about to say, they are not going to like. Jayden and I have come up with a plan.

“Good morning family let’s get this meeting over with soon as possible.” I say. “Listen Christian I think we need to send Madison back to LA just until the smoke dies down. It will ensure her safety because these people are not playing around, and we do not want her to be put in any unnecessary danger.” Henry Adams says. I look at my sister face and she is in full attack mode, but I signal her to keep her mouth shut. She rolls her eyes but knows not to go against anything I say. “Listen I understand why you all feel like that, but hiding Madison is not the answer. This is her revenge to get they made her lose her baby, they deserve to rot in hell for what they have done to my sister, and I plan to send them there personally. Me and Jayden thought what the public needs is to see Madison in a different light than what they are painting her. She needs to be seen get on with her life. Right now, they are saying that she is so distraught that she is trying to cause problems to get Aiden back. So, Jayden is going to be taking her out in public this way she can look like she doesn’t care. They will be protected everywhere they go until Friday then you can make your announcement.” I say.

My dad is looking at me like he really wants to disagree, but I give him that look that he put me in charge so he needs to let me handle it. My mom touches his arm, and he calms down. “I have been going through the proposals that were sent to the company for collaboration with us and Greene construction is one of them. He really believes that Sarah has some kind of inside connection to secure a deal. What I do not understand is what connection does she think she has.” Madison says. Me and Jayden share a look and really do not know whether we should tell the truth or not. He just shakes his head like he is not going to help a brother out. I swallow hard and explain why she thinks there is a connection. While the two bastards Jayden and Caleb laugh.

“So, four years ago Caleb, Jayden and I were sent by dad to a conference overseas. She happen to be there representing the Jones corporation. After all the meetings everyone went out for drinks and we were trying to watch out for each other because in events like this there is always a snake sliding around. Well I got a drink from the bar but immediately after drinking it I started to feel dizzy. No matter how hard I tried to shake it off I couldn’t. Everything was hazing from there all I know is I woke up the next morning in the bed with that b***h Sarah. Jayden seems to think that she paid the bartender to drug me. Ever since then every time we go to events, she latches on to me like a leech. When I asked her the next morning what happened she was trying to act all girlie by saying we slept together silly. I stared at her with one eye open. Jayden and Caleb told me not to pursue the issues because it was not the right time. There would be a time and a place to get that b***h back for her drugging me. Now is not only your time for retribution sis but also my time. She went dark after I got married and she turned her sights on Jayden, but she did not get a chance to play the same game with him. Because that’s when Chloe Williams came into the picture and she was one of the groupies following us around. Shortly after all of that went down, it was made public that me and Jayden were taking over for our fathers. Chloe went to her dad to convince him that her and Jayden had a thing going on and that is when he suggested the marriage so that he could benefit. We stop attending those parties after everything went down and Jayden got his divorce. Chloe tried to make the divorce Jayden’s fault and make him look like the villain.” I say.

“So, these bitches been playing these games all this time and you haven’t put a stop to them Christian, why?” Madison says. “You know the type of family we try to run Madison. Dad and uncle Henry worked hard to rebuild the reputation of the mafia families in America. We do not want to go around killing women just because they are trifling whores. So, we have our ways of dealing with them, the thing they value the most is money. We have no problem destroying everything they love, it just takes time. We are taking care of Chloe now because she will not leave Jayden alone after the divorce, but we had to drop everything and come to you.” I say. “Christian do not say it like that because she is your sister.” Mom says. “Mom I am not trying to be rude but it is the truth we had to switch gears because she was in trouble. We are getting off track and need to stay focus on the situation. Jayden is going to take Madison out today for a stroll so that people can see them together and it will turn the tides and show she is moving on.” I say. I look around the room and see the faces of my family and they do not look convinced but my dad nods. Let the games begin if these people think they can touch my sister and get away with it they are sadly mistaken and will pay a heavy price. They will wish they were dead when I get through with them. Jayden and I listen to some of the recordings our team got on the family last night and I realize that my sisters kidnapping had a lot to do with Maverick Jones. When we showed this information to our fathers they were not surprised. They have had run ins with him years ago when they first took over for their fathers. My dad believes that is why he is hiding behind the Greene’s to broker a deal with us. This situation just got worse, and my dad says Maverick is a dangerous man which means this time his run in my family will lead to his death.
