EP 1
Amelia had just moved to New York City to pursue her writer's dreams. She was sitting in a café, sipping her coffee and typing away on her laptop when she noticed a man walking by. She couldn't help but see how handsome he was with his dark hair and piercing blue eyes.
As luck would have it, the man walked into the café and sat at the table next to hers. She tried to focus on her writing, but she found herself stealing glances at him. He was engrossed in a book, but now and then, he looked up and caught her eye. Each time, they held each other's gaze a little longer.
Finally, Amelia couldn't take it anymore. She closed her laptop and turned to the man. "Hi, I'm Amelia," she said, smiling.
The man looked up from his book, and his eyes widened in surprise. "Hi, I'm Lucas," he said, returning her smile.
They struck up a conversation, and it felt like they had known each other for years. They talked about their favorite books, movies, and music. They discovered they had a lot in common and that their sense of humor was perfectly aligned.
As the hours passed, they both realized they didn't want the conversation to end. They exchanged numbers and made plans to see each other again.
As they parted ways, Amelia couldn't help but feel like she had just met someone special. She felt a spark between them, and she wondered if he thought it too.
Chapter 2: The Hurdle
Amelia and Lucas went on several dates over the next few weeks, and their connection only grew stronger. They had a natural chemistry that was undeniable. However, one day, Lucas dropped a bombshell.
"I have to move to London," he said, looking down at his feet.
Amelia's heart sank. "When?" she asked, dreading the answer.
"In a few weeks," Lucas replied, his voice barely above a whisper.
Amelia didn't know what to do. She had just met Lucas, and now he was leaving the country. It felt like the universe was playing a cruel joke on her.
Lucas could see the sadness in Amelia's eyes, and he felt terrible. He wanted to make things work with her, but he didn't know how.
"I don't want to lose you," Lucas said, taking her hand.
"I don't want to lose you either," Amelia replied, tears welling up in her eyes.
They decided to try to make a long-distance relationship work. They both knew it would be difficult, but they were willing to give it a shot.
For the first few months, things went well. They talked on the phone every day and video chat when they could. They sent each other care packages filled with little mementos of their time together.
However, as time went on, things started to get more complex. The time difference made it difficult to find time to talk, and they both had busy schedules that often conflicted with each other.
Amelia started to feel lonely, and Lucas felt helpless. They knew that a long-distance relationship was not sustainable forever, but they didn't want to give up on each other.
One day, Amelia went to a party with some friends. She was having a good time, but she couldn't shake the feeling that something was missing. She missed Lucas, and she wished he had been there with her.
As the night went on, she met a guy named Max. He was charming and funny, and he seemed to be interested in her. They danced and laughed, and for a moment, Amelia forgot about Lucas.
The next day, Amelia felt guilty for letting her guard down with Max. She knew that she loved Lucas, and she didn't want to jeopardize their relationship. She decided to tell Lucas about Max, hoping that he would understand.
When Lucas heard about Max, he felt a surge of jealousy. He knew that Amelia was beautiful and that other guys would be interested in her, but the thought of her being with someone else made him sick to his stomach.
They had a long conversation about their feelings, and they both realized that they needed to be more transparent with each other. They promised to always communicate their emotions, even if it was difficult.
From that day forward, their relationship became stronger. They had weathered their first major hurdle, and they knew that they could handle anything together.
Chapter 3: The First Date
After several months of being in a long-distance relationship, Lucas had a surprise for Amelia. He had booked a flight to New York and planned to surprise her with a visit.
Amelia was over the moon when Lucas told her the news. She had missed him so much, and the thought of seeing him again made her heart skip a beat.
When Lucas arrived, they hugged each other tightly. It was as if no time had passed at all. They spent the first few days catching up and exploring the city together.
On their third day together, Lucas planned a surprise date for Amelia. He wouldn't tell her where they were going, but he promised it would be something special.
They arrived at a theater, and Lucas led Amelia to their seats. As the lights dimmed, a hush fell over the audience.
A spotlight shone on a man with a guitar, and he began to play a beautiful song. As he finished, the lights came up, revealing a table set for two on the stage.
Lucas took Amelia's hand and led her up to the table. They sat down, and a waiter brought over a bottle of champagne.
As they sipped their drinks, a group of dancers appeared on stage. They moved gracefully to the music, their bodies intertwining and separating like a beautiful dance.
As the performance ended, the dancers came over to their table, handing Amelia and Lucas roses. Lucas looked into Amelia's eyes and smiled.
"I wanted to do something special for our first date," he said.
Amelia felt tears welling up in her eyes. She had never been on a date like this before. It was as if they were in their own world, the rest of the theater fading away.
As they finished their meal, the lights dimmed again. The guitar player appeared on stage once more and began to play a soft melody.
Lucas took Amelia's hand and led her onto the stage. They danced together, their bodies moving in perfect harmony with the music.
As the song ended, they embraced, and Lucas whispered into her ear.
"I love you, Amelia."
"I love you too," she replied, tears streaming down her face.
It was a moment they would both cherish forever. They knew that no matter what obstacles they faced, they would always have each other.
