"...After 500 years have passed since the defeat of the Black Dragon, peace and prosperity flourished over the land once more." The Museum Tour Guide narrated. It was a school field trip to the museum for the upper elementary in L.A. International and many students joined the trip. The students were taking the Hall of History and some aren't quite happy nor interested in it. A student raised his hand, "Uhh... I have a question: When are we done here?" The tour guide eyed him, "It'll be done after the tour, boy. Now follow me, children." He replied As the whole batch of students followed their tour guide, one of them trailed to a halt. He heard or he thought he heard___a whisper, but he couldn't find out where it came from. Until he saw a medallion from a distance. It was encased in a glass box displayed in the middle of the hall along with the other artifacts. Then he heard another gibberish whisper. Without thinking, he started walked closer to the displayed medallion. But as the kid was about to touch the medallion, a man grabbed his hand. "What do you think you're doing?" the man asked, "Can't you read?" He pointed to a sign that says: "Don't touch the artifacts." "Sorry. I didn't quite see that but I heard that thing calling out to me." The boy replied pointing to the medallion. "You're just hearing things, kid." The man smirked. But before the boy could reply, a teacher came by the room. "There you are, Damian!" she said, "Come now. You mustn't run off like that." As she took the boy back to his group, the man looked back at the displayed medallion. It looked like it had a certain glow around it but the man just shrugged and walked away thinking that he was just seeing things. Ten years later... Beep! Beep! Beep! An alarm went off. Irritated, Damian picked it up and turned it down. He then checked the time. It was 5:30 in the morning. He got up from the bed and headed straight to the showers. When he got dressed, he cooked some bacon and eggs and biked his way to school. As he walked down the school hallway full of students, Damian walked up to his own locker and grabbed some books. Until something touched his shoulder. Damian turned only to find Zack throwing a fake punch and a slap at him. "Really?" Damian said, irritated. "Testing your reflexes." Zayn explained, "And you suck at it." "That's because I'm busy with a lot of stuff. Jeez!" Damian replied as he closed his locker and walked to his classroom with Zayn. As he sat down on his seat in the middle area, he saw a girl sitting right to him. She had a long black hair, milky white skin with hazel-brown eyes. Damian tried to look away but she looks so beautiful that he could hardly resist. Luckily, she didn't notice him. Then the teacher came in and everyone rushed back to their seats. "Good morning, Ms. Theressa." The students said standing up. "Good morning. Please turn your books to page 340." The teacher replied. After an hour, Damian and his classmates proceeded to the school gym to practice their class presentation. A while later, it was break time. Damian sat in the benches alone, eating his chocolate doughnut. Suddenly Liz, his friend, and classmate walked up to him. "Hey! Why so lonely?" she asked "Nothing. It's just my usual 'me time!'" Damian replied "Oh, by the way, did you finish what I assigned you to do?" Damian grabbed a folder from his backpack and handed it to her. "Recommendation, Discussion & References are all in it." He replied "Good." Liz said as she looked through the file, "Oh, and also___" The moment she turned to Damian, he disappeared. "Damn it, Damian! Why do you keep doing that?!" she muttered to herself In the meantime, Damian was walking down the school halls with Cristina, his best friend. "So, what are your plans for the next school year?" he asked "Hmm.... I think I'm planning on taking Arts & Design but I'm honestly not sure if I am to stay here or I should go to a different school." Cristina replied, "What 'bout you?" "I think I'll probably take on anything that involves Math and a little bit on Literature," Damian replied Then they trailed to a halt between two classrooms. "So, see you tomorrow?" Damian asked "Sure. Tomorrow afternoon." Cristina replied with a smile. Then they went to their own classrooms. As Damian closed the door behind him, he saw Zayn and Jeremy standing there smiling at him. "What?" "Bro, how'd you manage to get along with a girl like her?" Jeremy asked, and then whispered, "By the way, is she your girlfriend?" Damian gave him a sharp push. "No, you knucklehead! I haven't even courted her! Besides, I'm just used to hanging out with her. Nothing personal there." "Then who do you have a crush on?" "Before I answer that, how are you with Stella?" Damian teased Jeremy' smile broke. "Say that again and I'm gonna whoop your a*s!" "Ok. Ok. Jeez!" said Damian. He then looked at his classmates who are chit-chatting with each other and saw the same girl he sat with earlier. Jeremy followed his gaze. Then he whispered to Damian. "You have a crush on Maria?" "Is that her name?" Damian whispered back. Jeremy nodded. Then Zayn put his hand on Damian's shoulder and whispered in his ear, "I doubt you'll be at her level, but if I were you, I should make my move." Damian shrugged his hand off . "I don't think I might have the time." "K. Your choice, bruh." About an hour later, the school bell rang. It's dismissal time. Damian rode on his bike and took off. Instead of heading home, he would go to a nearby park and sit down on a bench. There he would watch the birds fly here and there, the whistling of the trees and the breeze of the wind. His eyes were then fixed to the sight of the museum which is located just outside the park. He then remembered the time when he last went there; the only place where he heard voices. BRIN-N-NG!!! An alarm went off at the museum! Damian got up and went to the museum. He then caught sight of a black-suited thug running away from the museum. "HOLD IT RIGHT THERE, THIEF!!" a security guard shouted at the thug. Quick on his feet, Damian crossed the street and ran after the thug. The thug looked behind him and saw Damian running after him. Thinking he is a cop, the thug ran faster, crashing into things and making obstacles to slow Damian down but he dodged the obstacles with ease! Little did they know that while on the run, something inside was glowing inside the thugs' bag. Then the thug turned right and into the dark alley in between two buildings. Damian saw him at the corner of his eye and followed him in the darkness. Suddenly he ran into a dead end... He looked around him. He saw a dumpster, and a rusty door on the wall. Meachwhile, the thug slowly crept up to him carrying a baseball bat and ready to strike. A split second before the thug could strike, Damin felt a breeze and then moved to the side. And he saw the thug swing his bat but missed his target. But before he could strike again, Damian grabbed the bat, went behind the thug, kicked the knee and knocked him out with the bat. Damian dropped the bat he was holding and grabbed the bag that was dropped from the ground. He then opened it only to find a medallion inside... "Wait a minute. This looks familiar." said Damian. Suddenly, the medallion floated out of the bag and began running and circling around him until it stopped right in front of his face. "Oh no..." Damian muttered Then the medallion flashed a blingding blue light while he shielded his eyes. When he opened his eyes, he began to see image after image. He saw a man in front of a blue light with blue eyes, a pitch black room with a creepy purple demon eye staring at him, a couple he didn't know holding hands in front of a beautiful sunset, and on top of a tornado, he saw a giant blue bird flying out of it and headed straight for him! BAAM!!
