SWEET 16

My name is Maddie I am the only child of my parents I turn 16 last month 2 days before my end of Time examinations I had waited so eagerly for that day to come when I was 14 I read a book title sweet 16 which made me realize that as 16 no one is no longer a child but a young adult. for as long as I can remember I had always hated to be called a child to me a child seems the same as stupid as in dumb so children's stuff easily irritates me I feel disgusted whenever I hear touch or see them I felt more comfortable relating with people who are many years older than me, my father thought this was because of my size but no it was not. I am what you might describe as slim if you like you could say I was slim but never fat I started wearing bras at the age of 14. my father will say Maddie don't be deceived by your size you are still a teenager but not an adult he will shake my head and give my mother a long stare which I never understood ??. young adults therefore sounded like a fair compromise between being a child as my father would insist and being an adult as I would insist. my mother was a CEO in my father's company shocking right normally people would found it weird for a wife to be working in a husband's company but in this case is seems different because my father never wanted her to work anywhere else and feel stressed but this is not what I came to talk about everything changed when I resumeed School I attended a boarding school a famous one at that people will be like why will a rich girl be attending a boarding school but no my father says I had to learn how to live on my own and be independent. but everything changed when I received a mail .
