Killed at first
Andres POV The sky is blue with clear clouds. Green leaves, tall trees, festive decorations, fancy outfits from the ladies and men, and the fresh aroma of lemonade. Thinking about lemonade now makes me want to have a good taste of what it feels like once again. My face is already left in the air mesmerizing with my eyes closed. That wasn’t going to happen anyway, after all, I’m a maid dressed in a stained turquoise blue dress. My eye opens and I stared to my dress with disappointment. My hair flys in the air as I stood right in front of the window which was at the apex of the whole castle. One of the tallest castles in the empire. I keep clouding my mind with emptiness, while I inhale again smiling. “Andres…” She calls from behind me and I turn to her with my face squeezed. Squeezing from inside my nose canal. “Yes, Ma’am Camilo.” I did the courtesy while she appears in front of me. “What are you doing here?” She asks looking at me with all disgust. Obviously she hates me, but wasn’t I meant to have some spare leisure to myself? She looks up behind me, my feet, and back to my face. “Aren’t you suppose to be with the other maids downstairs, cleaning and making preparations for the princess engagement?” She says and- I panic a little. She is going to punish me. She chants her eyes at me but my eye drifts to the corner of the room like I was checking for passersby before I could move closer to her. I mellow my eye in a puppet glow. “What are you doing?”-“Huh.” She asks. She isn’t buying my trick and the fact that my eye keeps pleading not to be punished is what she is not freak at. What punishment is she going to give me at this time? and for a matter of fact, It is just 9 am. My face squeeze trying to run away from her tantrums but to no extinct. “Do you think I won’t punish you because of the time? Huh.-” she eyes me like she know very well what I have in mind and walking off. “-Follow me.” She says. I stand right behind Camilo on the rooftop where the traditional palace clock is. It has white crystal glass and a transparent frame which lingers at the top of the castle. She turns to me with her dark stroked lashes. She nods her head upwards giving a gesture that she wants me to climb. What did she want me to do? Climb? All the way up there? She looks at the clock again. “What are you waiting for? climb up there and clean the timepiece,” she says. Wait! what? At the top where I and Camilo stand, the whole surrounding looks filthy and very much unkept, the sculptures of hawk carving stand right behind Camilo and her glare is hard enough to make me run through the entry passage. “Get the brush, whippers, and cream behind you. The princess fiancé would be here soon and he so much loves this place. I want you to clean this whole top before he gets here. Alright?” she asks and I just nod. She walks away. I look at the clock with suspense filled in it and pull the bucket to my hip after a series of thinking. The bucket shakes a bit but my grip hold firmly. I don’t want problems and anything that would send me back to the streets, I never want it. What I wish for now is for my sister to be here today, with me, she would had defended me from ma’am Camilo. I climb the building as calmly as possible though the steps is a bit sloppy and moist with cold chills. Clean my face a bit and advanced further to the top of the castle where the clock stand. I stare at the clock in front of me and bend to a crouching posture. “Ethereum” I see a golden fronted signature which had a writing along its transparent glass on the clock. It look more ancient and mysterious all because the name ETHEREUM was the name of the castle and what people referred the village to as. This is old indeed. I begin to brush the top of the glass and spray some clean soap for it to be properly white enough. My hand moving, I hum repeatedly to any unknown songs. I smile at times when I remembered something of my sister and cough when the dust came out much from the clock. Ohh I am freezing a lot up here. I turn a bit while trying to inhale with my hand. My eye keep drifting about the castle as I clutch to the hands of the long clock. Soon enough I would be done. I tried looking out for Ma’am Camilo weither she is watching or snooping around but it looks like she has forgotten all about me. Immediately I hear a gunshot from the east and far away from the outskirt of the palace. The birds in the woods over there flys up into the sky. Something seem off and my eye I keeps scanning to catch a glimpse of what or who might have shot the gun. I hear the sound of the gun again and my head starts bleeding. “Huh... Blood” I exclaim loudly to myself with my hand cleaning the taste of the blood, my whole body becomes numb. I cant see clearly and my whole body fells Numb to any response. Did I get shot in the head? Because my whole body feels weak from the top to the bottom. I am falling straight down from the clock screen. To the ground I fell. At impact to the ground, my whole body smash brutally in front of the maids who is washing fabrics. My eye walked out from its socket to their front and they all scream in fear. I died here nonetheless. Just at the beginning of the episode I died. I know but someone has to take the blame for my death or else wrath comes he or her way.
