Jacob came out of the shower, his hair wet but not dripping water and his torso wet. He was about to go to the changing closet when his phone rang.

He came to the bedside table, where he left them, and picked up the call. He really thought Adria was asleep so he stood right in front of her while making his call, intending to return his phone to the table once he was done.

"Go on, I'm listening," he said to the caller.

Adria opened her eyes again and the first thing they met was his lower torso. Her breathing got hitched for a second; she was surprised because she couldn't recall the last time she had a close-up view of his body. She bit her lips when her eyes trailed the v-line leading to below his towel, she wanted that.

She missed him throwing her to the bed and f*****g her till her voice became too weak to scream out his name. She missed the times when her husband always wanted to kiss her at the slightest chance he got. Jacob had not kissed or done anything intimate with her for more than a year now, she felt like he completely shut everything they shared out the door.

He had changed so much that she got more scared to approach him whenever they were alone even though they still shared a room...but not today. She wasn't sure she could control herself from trying to get him to remember that he needed to satisfy her.

He was still on the call when she got up from where she lay, her confidence increased unusually as she stood on the bed and circled her arms around his neck.

As she expected, she got a sharp look from him, he didn't say anything because he was on the call so she continued. She ran her hands against his broad shoulders, caressing them before letting her left hand slowly go to his chest.

"Yes, do everything you can, it should be completed by tomorrow morning," Jacob said to the caller again, not leaving a word for her so she thought he enjoyed what she was doing.

‘Maybe he had been waiting for me to make a move all this time, maybe all I had to do was show him that I really miss him and he would come back to what we used to be.’ Adria thought.

She took her face to his neck, using the tip of her nose to trail on his neck before letting her lips take over. She started to kiss him, hoping he would just toss the phone in his hands away and pin her down on the bed to take control of what she was trying to do.

Jacob still wasn't saying anything to her as she did that, it made her so happy, and her hopes were high again. She hoped he was getting as sexually excited as she was, her body hadn't been so close to him for over a long time so she got herself turned on just by doing what she was doing.

‘Why didn't I try this ever since, why didn't I try seducing him?’ She thought to herself again but answered those questions.‘Well, it has to be because I've never had to seduce him for him to get close to me.’

She started to kiss him down his torso, slowly going from his chest to his V-line. She just got to his v-line when his strong hand stopped her by holding her head to get her lips away from his body.

"Let me know when you are done." She heard Jacob say before ending the call and returning his phone to the bedside table.

"What is wrong with you, Adria?" His voice didn't need to be loud to send chills through her. She looked away from his eyes because she found them very scary to look at lately unlike when they newly got married, she used to get lost staring into them but not anymore.

"I..." she tried to talk but he didn't let her.

"I've had a long day at the office, haven't had good sleep in the past two days and when I try to make a call, you do all of that?!" The tone of his voice increased and made her heart start to beat faster, she was scared now and she didn't even know why.

Jacob had never hit her, and she knew he never would, he'd never raise his hands to hit a woman but she couldn't help but get scared when he talked to her like that whenever they were alone. She felt weaker, she felt inferior. If he was being indifferent to her in the presence of Jerry or other servants, he didn't get all disrespectful, he knew he had eyes watching so he still talked to her with some respect but not now...she knew she was in trouble. She had gotten herself in trouble.

"I'm sorry, I really am, it's just that I miss you," tears began to well up in her eyes."I miss you, Jacob, I miss you when you attend to my needs. Whatever happened to you wanting me like I want you, huh?" She asked him but didn't get any more words from him. He just let go of her head and intended to walk away, as usual, but she stopped him.

"Jacob I'm sorry, whatever it is I did to have you treat me this way, I'm really sorry." He stopped and turned his neck to the petite woman still standing on the bed and after giving her a brief look from her head to toe, he turned back to continue back to the changing closet.

Adria sighed when he did that, a tear freely dropping from the edge of her right eye, she didn't try to stop them from flowing anymore, she just let them fall whenever they came to her eyes but what she didn't do was make a noise while she cried.

Sitting back on the bed, she crossed her legs, waiting for him to come out of the changing closet so she could try again; she was desperate at this point. All she wanted was for him to satisfy her, at least sexually, she could bear that he had stopped satisfying her emotional wants but not this.

Her body was on fire, she hadn't felt like that in almost sixteen months so she wasn't planning to quench her desire. She was going to try again, he had to give her what she wanted. Jacob came out and headed to the balcony without looking in her direction.

‘I thought he just said he needed some sleep?’ She asked herself.‘Why is he going to the balcony?!!’ She bit her lips trying to control herself.

‘Is he going to sleep on the balcony tonight to avoid me?’ She asked her a question she didn't want to give an answer to.

Adria got up from where she lay on the bed and headed to the balcony to join him. She was almost there but decided to stop and take off some of her clothes but she would later discover how much of a stupid idea that was.
