(Callum) The following morning was easily one of the longest mornings of my life. Not because anything unusual happened. That would have been preferable. At least unusual problems demanded immediate attention. Instead, everything proceeded exactly as normal while I spent every second trying not to think about Clara. The strategy failed almost immediately. By the time I arrived at the university, I had already seen her three times without actually seeing her.
