Chapter 6
Jade felt relief wash over her as she observed the dark cottage from outside. This was good. She didn't need her parents sniffing a male off her. She hurriedly opened the door, rushed in, made a bee line to the kitchen. She filled a bucket with water and went to the wash room. As much as she enjoyed the scent on her body and the remainder of her sticky liquid that had gushed out when she stood up, she needed to rinse off immediately. She didn't know where her parents had gone to but she guessed they went to steam off, seeing it was a full moon today.
The water was cold against her skin. Goosebumps decorated her skin and she clenched her teeth as she scrubbed off the wolf's scent off her. In her innocent mind, she thought that was how it worked. The innocent lady knew not. Even as she washed off, she could still scent the wolf off her, he had scented of the sea. She chose the lemon scented soap mama had made some few days ago and washed her hair and the remainder of her body. She hoped the scent of the lemon was strong enough. As she washed her nether parts, she remembered the feeling she felt. She spread her thighs further apart and scrubbed harder, as though trying to wash off what she had done with a wolf.
Jade couldn't believe she had shamelessly opened up herself to a wolf, a male she knew not of. She couldn't believe she had enjoyed it and deeply wanted more. She didn't care who the wolf would turn out to be, she wouldn't care even if he was a guard, even though she had hoped she would find a beta who loved her. Suddenly the realization hit her, what would her mate think when he found out what had happened? Would he think less of her? Jade sighed. If she could get this type of pleasure from a wolf she wasn't mated to, how would she then feel when she was mated?
Jade moaned in anticipation. She hoped she would find her mate soon and engage in all types of self fulfilling pleasures. No wonder, Cara had looked so lost in her kiss earlier today.
Jade dried herself after draining the bath tub. She french braided her wet hair before wearing her night dress. She had rubbed her favorite papaya body balm just before that. There, she was, smelling good and looking better.
She went into the kitchen and realised that mama hadn't even made supper. She thanked the heavens that there was some left over bread and some dried fruits. She decided to make a sweetened sauce to go with her bread. She boiled a cup of sugar before placing the dried strawberries and grapes into the pot and allowed it to boil. Her sauce thickened in no time and she didn't waste time in dishing it out.
Just when she was about to start eating, the cottage door opened and her parents came in. Jade smiled at them, ignoring the blush on their faces. They clearly had forgotten she was coming home or it had escaped their minds when they were in their steams of passion. But for a start, Jade could understand. When the wolf was between her legs, she had forgotten about everything and thought of nothing but him. Even now, she still wondered about him, who he could be.
"You're home." Rachael was the first to speak as she approached the dinning table and sat down. Raphael followed and sat down, taking a dip of Jade's sauce. His eyes brightened at the sugar. Jade giggled. "Sauce is only for me." She directed at him. Turning to her mama, she nodded. "Yes, mama. I couldn't spend the night there."
Mama had asked her all about her first day and Jade shrugged it off. She didn't want the thought of the broody and wicked prince soiling her night. This was the best night she had so far and as far as she was concerned, she would enjoy it.
"Oh don't worry about the palace, mama. It's nothing to disturb yourself about. The duties aren't complex." She replied when mama was still insistent on getting a reply.
By this time, Jade was done with her bread. "You went out hunting?" Jade asked, changing the topic.
The blush came back on their faces. "Yes. Hunting." Raphael replied. "With time, you shall start hunting too."
Jade nodded. Hunting, they had said, however, it was evident that every wolf on a full moon wanted and needed one thing only. Pleasure. So, she had a good idea what their hunting meant. She smiled as she stood up to place her plates on the sink.
Rachael released a cough. "You...have found your mate?"
Jade stood still in shock. She hadn't expected that question.
"I don't understand mama."
"You've mated? With your mate?" Rachael asked again, her eyes getting wider each second. From shock or happiness, she knew not.
"No." Jade gave a curt answer.
"Oh don't be smart with me Jade. You smell of a male wolf. You've found your mate."Rachael finalized.
It took Jade a second to understand what mama was saying. So the wolf she met and enjoyed a sweet pleasure with was her mate? Was that why she was so responsive? But how does she know her mate when she hasn't even found her wolf? Being with a male didn't necessarily mean she had found her mate.
Jade bent her head low. Raphael took this as cue and left the kitchen. This was a mother's responsibility fo do and they needed privacy.
Jade sat down stiffly on the stool and looked at her mother. Mama's eyes were bright like the sun, anticipating her answer.
"You've found your wolf, haven't you? Rachael asked in a low tone.
"No mama. I've not found my wolf." Jade finally answered. "I haven't found my mate either."
Rachael was confused. How could her daughter have a male scent on her and say she hadn't found her wolf nor her mate.
"Then?" Rachael asked, her heart gripping in fear, awaiting Jade's answer. If she hadn't found either her mate or her wolf, it only meant one thing. She was with a male, in a s****l way. Rachael made her best to keep a straight face and stare squarely at her daughter. She couldn't afford to show Jade the panic she was feeling on her face.
Jade sighed. She didn't know what to tell mama, or rather, she couldn't put the words together. Jade was embarrassed to tell Rachael she had been with a wolf she knew not his name nor being. How would anyone understand that she allowed a wolf to devour her whole?
"I...uh...we shouldn't talk about this mama." Jade pleaded looking at Rachael with pleading eyes but Rachael was far too occupied, thinking of how her daughter could be with a male that wasn't her mate. She was concerned on behalf of her daughter. How was Jade's mate going to feel?
"Spit it out." Rachael commanded, her eyes suddenly becoming serious. Heaven forbid that make took her virginity. What would the whole kingdom think of her daughter? Disvirgined and unmated?
Jade knew she had to narrate everything that happened. Mama's thin rope of patience had just been cut off. Jade picked her nails as she spoke. "I don't know what happened mama. I was fine. Everything was fine. I left the palace at full moon and i...a wolf attacked me and almost had it's way with me."
Rachael's eyes widened. "I am alright mama, nothing happened. Another wolf saved me." Jade quickened added before her mama started getting herself all worked up and worried.
Rachael took in a breath of relief and smiled. "Oh my dear child. Thought something outrageous happened. I am so proud of you. You've always been a good daughter." Rachael praised as she stretched out her hands and clasped it with her daughter's.
Jade wanted to keep her pen so badly and let the explanation stop at that but she couldn't do that to mama, not when she looked at her with so much goodness.
"The wolf that saved me mama. I couldn't stop it. I didn't want to. It touched me and i...loved it."
Jade couldn't look at Rachael now. She was highly embarrassed but she would never regret what she did with the wolf.
"It touched me where i shouldn't be touched and i allowed it mama. I can't describe it."
Rachael was silent and red in the face. She knew exactly what her daughter was describing. She was too innocent to tell her in descriptive details but the message was loud and clear. Jade had been with a male. A wolf.
Rachael nodded, unable to form words. She knew Jade had been with a male the minute she came close to her. The scent was too strong to ignore. The wolf had masked her up with his scent, to protect her.
Rachael stood up and smiled at her daughter. "Go to bed. It's been a long day."
As Rachael retreated back to her room, she couldn't help but be confused. How was this happening? Who was the wolf and why was he protective? Why wasn't Jade's wolf out yet and why did she enjoy the advances?
