Everyone loved her drawings of Danby Landing and the photos of the different buildings and crop fields. Nana D only kept a few horses and chickens around, but she was still faithfully planting tons of fruits and vegetables to bring in supplemental income. Although my grandpop had left her with a small inheritance and she'd sold a chunk of the farm to cover her expenses once she became a widow, the extra money came in handy throughout the year.
