Chapter Eleven
Resolution
Melanie and I got into the Challenger and headed for the airport. That car was awesome. I dropped her off at the terminal where she would have her first interview and went to the parking lot designated for us trainees. She could ride the tram to the other interviews. My training that day was intense. After they described the equipment we would use, they took us outside and let us get on one of the planes. It was thoroughly modern and complete with all the creature comforts both for passengers and flight crew. I looked forward to my first trip on a plane like that. While we were there, they showed us all the safety features and techniques for the airplane. Most of it was familiar to me. I needed to know all this because they hired me to be the lead for the other
