The Lore Of Ihnak

‘I may have lost the battle but I will surely win the war. I lose small but win big.” Ihnak to his captor This story traces the journey of an outcast orc youngster called Ihnak who is the perfect example of what someone who dreams to achieve big should not be.He is lazy,grumpy,dar dreaming, procrastinating,obstinate and a half hearted character at the starting of the novel.As a child he was born different and according to the seers in the region he was destined either to be a beggar or someone whose name would go down in the annals of history as a revolutionary.He became the latter obviously. The whole story revolves around his transformation from a nagging and a bullied around kid to one of the most respected warlords in the region.Although he was from a privileged orcish family from a good clan and repute but he did not have it easy.His family was once among the wealthiest warlords in the orcish region but fate had another plan. The story traces his journey as he moves across this fictional world fighting gnolls,hostile orcs,trolls and otherworldly creatures along the way towards his ultimate goal-which is to close the gate of hell and prevent the Legion of hell from entering the earth and destroy everyone on their wake.Facing hordes of undead,elves,dwarves,humans  and traitors and making unlikely alliances with once considered foes the path to greatness is not an easy path. The orcs were united by a great visionary leader kapoue who fended off human,elvish and dwarvish invasions.his descendant however was overwhelmed by the cult known as Disciples of ixthala.They unleashed demon minions from the underworld by opening the gates of hellfter the great Orcish civil war in which the once great orcish kindom after being colonized by underworld demons fought bravely to regain freedom but due to misunderstanding between leaders of various united tribes fought among themselves to establish separate orc states.His family being the opposer of the state of  Pohkktan was pushed out of the region violently losing their lands and holdings. After a turbulent period of war there was peace for a considerable period of time during which the leaders of Baherrt  made an attempt towards diplomacy with nations and at the same time suppressing insurgents belonging to goblin, troll and serpent races by absorbing members of the dissident race in their army and by developing a uniform language and a currency system.It was a revolution in the way the orcs lived which was of course not liked by the rival orcish regions as they thought they were violating their way of life. Military skirmishes and territorial wars were a commonplace and thus peace was there only in words.Rival orcish states often trained militias who used guerrilla warfare tactics to disrupt the peace and stability of the empire of Baherrt.Even on the path to progress and spirituality which was a new feature introduced by the shamans to calm the warlike orcs  constant attacks by rival orcs and other races forced the Emperor to maintain a strong army and thus a career in the military was desired and respected. The boom in military campaigns and warfare brought a new economic revolution in the orcish society where traditionally warlike orcs were transformed into businessmen and often turfwar was a commonplace even among businesses. The knowledge of heliograph, herbal medicine,healing magic,gunpowder etc which was there with this Empire was on an infant level as many prisoners escaped or killed themselves rather than give the intellectual wealth of their nations. Many veterans from such expeditions often left the way of their sword and took a more intellectual path and dedicated themselves to the path of knowledge and spirituality.They were known as shamans and became a separate class and the class looked at with awe in the empire.Most of the residents regarded physical strength and ruthlessness as the baseline of society and knowledge was given the lesser priority The shamans were storytellers and educators who ran their monasteries and preached to the orcs and often mentored rulers and regional warlords.One of the shaman identified ihnak’s potential for greatness and the further changes he would bring in his nation.Although of the many achievements he would have and the progress he would make.He will never have an easy path which he never did.Despite having higher intelligence than his peers and often more agile in combat he was often ridiculed by the brutes who always mocked his ideas and innovative ways of making things simpler.As a result of ridiculing and bullying he became a recluse and had little but nicer friends who believed in him and often joined him in his hunting party. What happened to his hunting band could be explained by jealous rivals as fools luck.the incident in the forest where he and his amateurish band defeated a human invading party with mere guerrilla tactics devised by him made him a star in the community and word spread of his cunning which spread throughout the Empire ultimately reaching the monarch’s ears who made his hunting band one of his many mercenary parties who were send to many expeditions or they themselves went to expeditions to faraway lands. He started as a mercenary footman and ended one of the warlords in the army. Now their Kingdom has been faced with a bigger problem.Their has been an attempt to assassinate the overlord. The investigation in the attempt brings out many  unsaid truths. It also leads ihnak to discover a bigger problem which is the gates of Hell has been opened and fiendish creatures are roaming the world. It is upto him and his group to fight the hurdles in the way and close the gates lest the hellbourne are released again. They need to find the seal of the gate and put it there for good. The seal pieces wont come to his hand easily. They need to be gathered after fighting enemies and traitors. He narrates his experience in a first person voice in this fiction saga about the dissapointments he faced,the tactics he used to fight,the decisions he had to make,the betrayals,rejection,his failures and then the bounceback he made.in simple words this story is about how a loser became one of the greatest heroes in the realm due to his ability of not giving up and his strong gut feelings.Often his failures and setbacks he receives along the journey is his great teachers but often we see along the way kings,seers and even otherworldly creatures guide him towards his ultimate goal. Follow him on his journey as he gathers the broken seal pieces and trades with the mysterious peddlers and thwarts a deep rooted conspiracy against his nation and does more than just close the gates of hell.
