Chapter 5 ALISON’S HAND DROPPED down from over her mouth and she stared at the box. Then, she raised her gaze to me. It bothered me that I couldn’t read her. Granted, I was not as skilled at reading people, the way I was at reading books. My stomach tightened and I had a sudden and violent urge to vomit. A chill gripped my body and I began to sweat, but my body temperature dropped rather than increased.
