Chapter 54

1001 Words
Massy was a little iffy about sitting courtside at a Lakers vs Bulls game with Michael. She knew, either way, she's been paired with him, so once again she threw her caution to the wind, shaking that iffy feeling off, she knew who she was and wasn't dating, and at this moment she was single and not looking to date anyone. If it needed to be cleared up all she needed to do was say so. Straight from the horse's mouth. Fans filled the Staples Center, slowly pouring in, celebrities that sat courtside mingled with one another while the teams warmed up, teammates slowly making their way out of the locker rooms when they were ready. Massy squatted down in front of Vanessa Bryant having a mini conversation, her daughter's sitting next to her leaning in as they joined the conversation between their mother and their favorite athlete Massy. Michael and Kobe stood further left of them having their own conversation, Massy had mentioned Michael to him during a few conversations, but referenced him as a friend, he knew Massy wasn't looking to be in a relationship due to going through what she went through with Odell, she was putting her focus in soccer, where it needed to be. Kobe had met Michael personally on a few occasions, he consigned for Michael, knowing he was a good guy. He'd put in a few good words here and there when speaking to Massy Michael and Kobe finally splitting from their conversation, Kobe making his way to midcourt throwing up a few shots. Massy looked up to see Michael placing his jacket around the back of his chair, then sitting down. She stood up to her normal height, waving her arms to get Kobe's attention, smiling as he jogged over to the four ladies, he leaned down kissing his wife's cheek, he hugged Massy, then ran his fingers in his oldest daughter's hair as his youngest daughter began tapping on the basketball that was lodged between his body and arm. Speaking to her and his wife. Massy looked back at Michael to see what he was doing. Unlike Odell, who would have been scowling and eyeing her as she had a casual conversation with one of the greatest basketball players in the world, Michael sat patiently waiting for her to return back to her seat. Tending to his own business, smiling and waving at fans who called out to him as Creed instead of his real name, taking selfies with those that were brave enough to walk up to a celebrity and ask for a picture, he politely obliged and posed with them. Completely unbothered by Massy and the guidanceelationship she had with her high powered mentor "A lot of celebrities here tonight, to see The Black Mamba in his last season. A good game tonight. Lakers host the Bulls." "Jack Nicholson of course, in his usual seat, actor Leonardo Dicaprio there, also actor Michael B. Jordan here, played The Human Torch in Fantastic Four and Adonis Creed in the Creed movie that came out a few months back." "An amazing movie, Creed was really really good, definitely a favorite, he's had a great year." "And Soccer Forward for Team USA, Massy Arias enjoying some down time before their next game, they take on Sweden next week I believe." "Yea, they just defeated Nigeria on Monday, she too is having an amazing season, her rookie year, she's got two MVP matches and the team is 10-0." As the game commentators introduced the celebrities that were in attendance, the camera going on each one. Massy and Michael enjoying the game, cracking jokes, speaking about any and everything, during halftime Leonardo Dicaprio made his way to where the two were seated congratulating her on her season and wishing her luck with the rest of it. Once again Michael completely unbothered, Dicaprio also introducing himself to Michael. Though Massy and Michael arrived and left separately the paparazzi got photos of the two leaving the game together, TMZ Sports asking them questions as he walked Massy to her car. The video would look worse than what it was of course, it ending as Michael opened Massy's driver side door for her, leaving the rest of their night to the imagination, not showing Michael walking off to his car. That next morning blogs got ahold of the footage, other paparazzi posting the photos they took to their own blog sites.  ~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~ "Actor Michael B. Jordan and Soccer Forward for Team USA Massy Arias were seen leaving the Lakers vs Bulls game last night." Massy's sister read the words plastered across TMZ. "Sources close to her say that the two are just friends, and are in the early stages of talking," Mari said trying not to laugh as she read the article.  Massy frowned and rolled her eyes. "What sources!? They don't have any sources?"  Massy had been tagged endlessly in posts about her and Michael, at this point she was used to it. There was no need to let it bother her. This was one of those things that she could let slide off her back. She looked down at her phone, answering back txt messages from friends and family, Michael thanking her for joining him at the game. Tapping her fingernail on the screen she looked at Odell's txt thread, still in bold letting her know it was unread. She tapped the thread with her finger opening it and reading multiple apologies, explaining himself letting her know how wrong he was and that he didn't mean to hurt her, he just didn't know how to deal with her popularity begging her to talk to him.  She still had doubts about him. The whole fool me once shame on you, fool me twice shame on me thing popped up in her head, Odell was a distraction and she knew it. She had let him get in her head while playing against Nigeria, and that was a huge mistake.
