“If I knew this was your plan then I would’ve said no.” Simone muttered as she hammered her head against the seat. Simone could hardly imagine how she had been hauled back to high school. Glancing out the window, she gazed at all of the teens enthusiastically entering the building wearing their 80s clothing.
“At least we’re seniors!” Kira exclaimed.
“How did you even do this without having a guardian?” Simone asked while facepalming.
“You know I am a pro at mind control.” Kira replied. Opening her car door, Kira stepped out and smelled the air. Rolling her eyes, Simone stepped out of the car and looked around the large parking lot as Zoie closed the back door.
“Zoie, do not touch anyone.” Simone demanded.
“Simone, mind your business.” Zoie replied.
“Zoie, don’t get your ass beat on the first day of school.” Simone shot back.
“Simone, shut the hell up before you get thrown into that bus.” Zoie responded.
“Guys?” Kira announced. “Grow up.”
Without saying another word, Kira strolled towards the entrance of the school and ventured inside. Everyone seemed to be happy and at ease. The hairstyles were much wilder, everyone wore different outfits and chatted amongst one another while they prepared for class.
Simone could slowly feel her excitement coming in. She had consistently cherished the 80s and now was the time where she would really encounter it. As a grin gradually advanced onto her face, she turned towards Kira and Zoie.
“Let’s remember to not do anything stupid!” She stated.
“I promise.” Kira replied.
As Zoie prepared to speak, someone walked towards them causing her to close her mouth. The girl wore a black skirt with a grey shirt as she held her books close to her chest. Her dirty blonde hair was thrown into a ponytail with a black headband to finish off the look. Smiling brightly, she waved.
“Hi, I’m Jessica! You must be Simone, Zoie, and Kira? The new transfers from New York?” She greeted.
“That’s correct. I’m Kira and these are my cousins, Simone and Zoie.” Kira introduced as she stepped forward.
“Cousins?” Simone mumbled.
Hearing and reading Simone’s thoughts, Kira spoke to her using the mind. “It’ll be suspicious if we’re siblings and all in the same grade.”
“Welcome to Chester High! I’ll be showing you around!” Jessica announced. Jessica looked down at the papers that sat on top of the books in her hands.
For the next 20 minutes, Jessica led them down the halls and showed them around the school. Kira read the minds as she walked by with most complaining about their grades, teachers, and jobs. However, a good amount thought about graduating and their high school loves.
“I love your hair color.” Jessica complimented as she looked at Zoie’s now white hair. “How did you get your color like that?”
Zoie shrugged. “It is my natural hair color.”
Kira squinted her eyes and she concentrated to read Jessica’s mind. Jessica shockingly had no weird thoughts as she smiled at Zoie. Sighing in relief, Kira relaxed as no other questions were asked.
It wasn’t everyday that you see someone with white hair.
“This is where we will split up now. Zoie, you’ll be with me in AP classes. Simone, you’ll be in science and you’ll be in art classes, Kira.” Jessica revealed. Simone said nothing as she walked away from the group. Knowing where she was going, she sighed heavily as she prepared to enter the classroom.
“Can’t believe I let them talk me into doing this.” Simone mumbled to herself. “I was a damn college student!”
Pushing the door open, Simone watched as everyone turned their attention towards her. The male teacher standing in front of the class near the chalkboard placed a soft smile on his face as he placed the thick book down onto his desk. Simone gave him a fake smile as she closed the door behind her.
“You must be Simone Mikaelson? I’ve been expecting you.” He said.
“Hi.”
“I’m Mr. Franklin! It’s nice to meet you.” He greeted.
“Nice to meet you too.” Simone mumbled as she searched around the classroom.
“Why don’t you take a seat over there in the back?” He stated. Grabbing the textbook, he gave it to Simone as she took it from his hands. Simone looked at the male sitting in the desk next to hers. His strong arms were fitted through the tight dark shirt he wore as he tapped the pencil on the wooden desk while watching her with a grin. He ran his hands through his untidy brown colored hair while he proceeded to seriously gaze at Simone with his blue eyes.
“Simone eh?” He asked. Rolling her eyes, Simone sat down. “Where are you from?”
“Did I say that you could speak to me?” Simone asked.
“New York? That’s nice.” He replied.
Quickly, Simone turned towards the guy and stared at him in shock. “How do you know that?”
Ignoring the question, he smirked. “I’m Harry.”
“I didn’t ask for your name, Harold.” Simone shot back.
“How do you know that?” Harry asked, still wearing the smirk on his face.
“Know what?”
“You said my real name.” He answered.
“You have your secrets and I have mine.” Simone whispered. Leaning closer, Harry watched Simone intensely making her feel extremely uncomfortable.
“I’m not the settling down type but how about you let me take you out sometime? Preferably tonight? I promise to give you the ride of a lifetime.” He flirted.
“Harry, how about…” Simone started only to be cut off by Harry speaking again.
“Hold that thought.” He replied.
Simone watched as Harry’s attention was now placed on the skinny guy sitting in front of him. He was slumped down into the desk as his long slim arm reached into the girl’s backpack next to him.
“Hey Dipshit! She already hates you!” Harry hissed. “Stop stealing from her before she catches on. You stole her purse last week!”
Simone watched as the pale and skinny kid turned around. Snatching the black shades from his eyes, he shot Harry a disgusted look. Sticking his middle finger up, Harry smirked.
"f**k off, Harold! She just loathes me since you screwed her and her sister!"
“Whatever you say, Jacob.” Harry replied. As he turned his attention towards Simone, Simone sighed deeply knowing that Harry would annoy her for the rest of the class.
It had been a while since Kira saw her sisters and it made her nervous. They were now known to cause a lot of problems so she wasn’t too sure if she trusted them enough to not make a mistake. For a very long time, they had progressed admirably yet she couldn't resist the opportunity to feel that the tranquility would before long vanish. Gazing at the clear canva before her, Kira sighed intensely. While she was glad to be in school to keep her and her kin occupied, she totally detested this class.
"Pardon me?" The educator, who presented herself as Miss Moore, called out. "Sebastian?"
Abruptly, the kid sitting close to her lifted his head and removed the dark cap from his head. Kira's eyes augmented as his hair coordinated with Zoie's. Groaning, Sebastian offered the lady a thumbs up.
“Thank you and keep that head up.” She demanded before turning back towards the board. With a scoff, Sebastian rolled his eyes and prepared to look elsewhere as his eyes landed on Kira. Quickly, Kira turned the other way.
“Has your mother ever taught you not to stare, new girl?” He teased.
Shockingly, Kira couldn’t bring herself to say anything not because she was shy or afraid but because she couldn’t read his mind.
