Chapter One
“I’m so sorry! I’ll definitely keep a lookout for anyone hanging around your home!” Simone said as she smiled through clenched teeth. Slowly, she shut the door to their little home before turning towards her two younger sisters who sat on the sofa with unintelligible appearances on their countenances. "What?" Zoie inquired. “You can’t attempt to kill people in a fit! What the f**k is wrong with you?” Simone exclaimed. "Why would you think I was attempting to murder that man? I just advised him to stop placing a portion of his trash in ours!" Zoie shot back. Simone crossed her arms. “You set his car on fire!” “That wasn’t an attempt to kill him! It was a warning.”  “With him in it?” Simone asked.  "Well pardon me for being somewhat under the weather but we’ve been stranded here for 7 years all thanks to you!” Zoie yelled.  “Thanks to me? I only tried teleporting us because you were about to send an entire f*****g tornado through New York!” Simone exclaimed. “You are the reason why superhumans are hated!” “f**k off!”  “Will you both shut the hell up already?” Kira asked as she sat on the sofa with an irritated demeanor across her face. “We’re just going to have to wait and figure it out.” “How?” Zoie asked. “How are we supposed to figure out how the hell time travel works?”  “Exactly!” Simone agreed. “There’s no other super powered beings here other than us.”  “Say it again!” Zoie exclaimed as she cheered on Simone’s speech.  “Which is even more of a reason for you to not attempt to kill people, Z! You’ve already made superhumans visible in 2021 but don’t do it here as well.” Simone said. “Here we go again.” Zoie muttered. Clapping her hands to catch both of her sister’s attention, Kira stood up. “We cannot do anything to damage the timeline. We arrived here in 1982 and now it is 1989. We’ve done well keeping still and quiet for 7 years.”  “We left Chester and moved to Commerce, California.” Zoie started. “Then we moved back here to Chester last month.”  “We’ve spent 7 years using your powers. You’ve mind controlled the owners of homes to rent out to us for free, we never pay for food because you’ve mind controlled every restaurant to believe that we’ve paid, we’ve been surviving simply from your mind control but I’m bored. What was the point in coming back to the same place we arrived?” Simone asked. “Maybe there’s a reason why we landed here?” Kira asked. "You believe there's a motivation behind why we arrived in a humble community situated in Los Angeles County?" Zoie prodded. "When we are from New York?"  "I do." Simone took a deep breath before nodding her head in agreement. Slowly, she walked towards the couch and sat down as she crossed her legs and arms. Incredibly, Simone was starting to concur with Kira. There needed to have been a reason for it. Pointing at Zoie, Simone snapped her fingers. “You told us back in 1983 that you spoke with mom.”  Zoie scoffed. “I’m sick of repeating this story. Mom said that we were from a planet called Runne and that we were children mentioned in a prophecy and that’s it.” "She didn't utter a word around 1982 or Chester, California?" Simone inquired. "No." Zoie addressed honestly. "Runne was annihilated by its own kind and that is it."  “But you said that you learned that you could communicate with the dead.” Kira mumbled. “I communicated with her - not the dead.”  “She is dead, dumbass!” Kira shouted.  Ignoring their argument, Simone continued. “Runne is very much still out there then. What if we go there and see if someone from there could send us back to 2021?”  Zoie nodded her head. “Sure! Why don’t we go get into our droptop spaceship and pay them a visit?”  “You’re talking the most s**t to be someone who hasn’t given an idea!” Simone shouted as she threw a cushion towards Zoie. Holding a hand up, Kira prevented the cushion from hitting Zoie as it halted mid flight and dropped to the floor.  “We’ve spent 7 years stressing and worrying about how we are going to get home and we’ve had no progress or success.” Kira started.  "What are you getting at?" Zoie asked as she squinted her eyes at the youngest sister. Shaking her head, Kira sighed. “I cannot believe that I am saying this but we just need to enjoy it right now.”  “No.” Simone announced.  “Think about it! Mom had always raised us isolated from everyone else. We didn’t get to have wild teenage years or go to parties. In other words, we were sheltered while other teenagers were able to live life.” Kira finished.  Zoie shrugged her shoulders. “You have a very valid point. There’s no telling what’ll happen to us once we are back in 2021 so might as well enjoy life now.”     Turning towards their older sister, Zoie and Kira waited for Simone’s opinion. She realized that they'd do anything they desired in any case, Simone groaned vigorously.  Knowing that she’d regret it later on, she shook her head.  “What do you suggest we do?” She asked.
