“Morning Baby, when are you going to stop playing hard to get?” Harry greeted as he leaned across Simone’s desk.
“When hell freezes over.” Simone answered.
“That will never happen.”
“How would you know?” Simone asked with a scoff. Harry’s signature smirk dropped for a quick second as he stood there silently before quickly placing a smile on his face again. Without taking his eyes off of Simone, Harry spoke.
“Put it back, Jacob.” He demanded. Turning around, Simone’s eyes widened at Jacob holding her bag.
“It’s empty anyway.” Jacob stated as he dropped the bag on the floor. “What’s the point in carrying an empty bag around, new girl?”
“My name is Simone. If you call me a new girl again then I won’t hesitate to tear your ass through a frame.” Simone threatened.
Harry laughed as Jacob frowned. Before a response could be said, the door slammed shut as the familiar teacher walked in and began throwing out demands.
With it officially being the second day of school for Kira and her sisters, Kira was already regretting the idea of returning to school. However, she was now interested in the lazy male sitting next to her. Once again, he sat there with his head down as if he had fallen into a deep slumber. Trying to read his mind again, Kira groaned at her failure.
Slowly, Sebastian lifted his head and sighed. “Listen kid, step off. I’m not like my sister or brothers, okay? I don’t like attention so I’ll be very satisfied when you stop trying to get my attention.”
“You have a lot of balls, I’ll give you that.” Kira announced.
“What do you mean?”
“You’re bold for assuming that I need or want your attention. I haven’t even said a single word to you so do yourself a favor and take your head out of your ass because you sound full of shit.” Kira shot back.
Sebastian gazed at the bold girl in stun. He could hear a couple of individuals around the space laughing causing him to understand that they heard everything. Putting his hand on the leg of the desk, Sebastian pulled Kira near him until they were up close and personal. Kira felt extremely different - it was as if she could no longer control her emotions with the only thing being felt was fear.
“You’re new here so I’ll let you off since you don’t know how things go here but no one disrespects me or the rest of my siblings. You’re lucky, I’m feeling generous today.” Sebastian growled.
“Or what?” Kira found herself asking. Sebastian backed away for a quick second as his facial expression changed from anger to shock then to fascination.
“Or someone will get hurt, little one.” Sebastian whispered.
When lunch had shown up, Kira was eager to get towards her sisters. As she entered the cafeteria, she saw that neither of them were there. Hurrying towards the table, Kira sat and fretfully paused. As Kira tapped her hands on the table, Simone dropped her bag onto the floor waking up Kira from her contemplations.
“What has your panties in a knot?” Simone asked. Suddenly, Harry appeared next to her. Placing his arm around her shoulder, he smiled.
“Guess who has decided to eat lunch with you?” Harry inquired. Simone arranged to talk just for Harry to proceed. "Me! What a fortunate young lady!"
Kira watched them interact in confusion. Simone said nothing to him as she sat down followed by him doing the same thing. The door to the cafeteria opened as Jacob, Sebastian, Olivia, and Timmy entered. They looked at their table to see it was empty before looking towards Harry who sat next to Simone and Kira.
Harry moaned. "Here she goes."
"For what reason are you sitting here when you should be at our typical table?" Olivia inquired.
"We don't need to consistently sit together, Liv." Harry said with his voice sounding loaded with rout.
"I couldn't care less." She shouted, making a couple of individuals look towards them. "How about we go!"
"Are you desirous that I would prefer not to sit with you today, sister?" Harry prodded with an enormous grin all over.
Olivia furiously remained in the same spot with her clenched hands tightened. Simone covered her mouth to hold herself back from giggling in the young lady's face. Slowly, she took a gander at Harry who sat close to her with a similar grin.
“Leave.” Simone demanded. “I didn’t ask you to sit here in the first place.”
“Excuse me? You don’t talk to my brother like that.” Olivia said. Kira and Simone froze before looking at one another in shock and confusion, they looked back at Olivia, then back at each other. Kira scoffed and waved her hand at Simone to stand up.
“Go ahead and handle that.” Kira muttered.
“I was just about to do that.” Simone replied as she stood up. Leaning across the table, Simone stared directly into Olivia’s eyes. “Who are you talking to?”
“You.”
“I believe that little skirt is twisted too far up your flat ass because you have a lot of nerve coming to our table with your bullshit. I suggest you take your angry ass back to that corner before you get that ass beat.” Simone threatened. Olivia took deep breaths as she angrily stared at Simone. Harry stood up from his seat as Jacob muttered something under his breath.
“Let’s see what you’re really about, shall we?” Olivia said. Kira noticed that the girl’s voice sounded threatening and sinister. As she prepared to take a step forward, a hand was placed on her shoulder causing her to freeze.
“What seems to be the issue?” Nate asked as he looked at everyone around the table.
Zoie pushed through the crowded hallway as tears sat in her eyes. The entire day, she had been dealing with the voices in her head causing her to slowly go insane. As they got louder, they made it harder for her to concentrate. To make matters worse, Zoie began noticing objects changing once again. For example, her pencil turned into an ink pen and the textbook on her desk transformed into a Harry Potter book, which hadn’t been released yet, before turning back into the textbook.
The desire to kill was returning as Zoie feared that she would soon fall into temptation and cause harm to someone. Ignoring the looks that were shot towards her, Zoie kept her head down as she entered the cafeteria. Upon arrival, Zoie noticed Simone and Kira were surrounded causing her to become even angrier. Watching Nate’s mouth move with a hand placed on Olivia’s shoulder, Zoie walked over to the group.
“There is no issue.” Zoie announced causing everyone to look at her. “Go now.”
Slowly, Nate looked at Zoie. He knew there was something off about her. Removing his hand from Olivia’s shoulder, Nate slammed it onto the table as the cafeteria went silent.
“If my sister is getting worked up then there is an issue.” Nate spoke.
“There wouldn’t be much of an issue if your sister stopped being a bitch.” Zoie shot back. Murmurs surrounded the cafeteria as everyone watched on.
“Excuse me?” Olivia asked.
“b***h, you heard her loud and clear.” Simone answered.
“Why don’t we all relax for a second?” Harry asked as he left Simone’s side and walked between Zoie and Nate who watched one another angrily.
“Are you going to eat that banana?” Timmy whispered to the guy who sat at the table closest to their group.
“You’re causing a scene and this isn’t the right time or place. Why don’t we all step back and drop this argument?” Jacob mumbled.
“Absolutely not. How dare she open her mouth to speak to me this way.” Nate replied.
“How dare I?” Zoie asked with a scoff. “How dare you slam your hand on the table at my cousins and I? You have no authority here.”
“Says who?”
“Says me, motherfucker.” Zoie announced.
“You’re defending your cousins as if they’re not grown women and cannot handle themselves? What are you? The bodyguard?” Nate asked.
“No. However, this is my foot that will go up your ass if you don’t step the hell away from this table.”
“Make your move then.” Nate threatened. Kira stood up quickly as Zoie smiled knowing exactly what this meant. Grabbing Zoie’s arm, Kira pushed her behind her as she gave Nate a soft smile.
“Enough already. There are people watching!” She whispered harshly.
“Out of the way.” Nate mumbled.
“Come on, drop it.” Sebastian said as he stood next to Zoie.
“Out of the damn way.” Zoie said through gritted teeth.
“Brother, I think I’ll be fine. Let’s not entertain any of this right now.” Olivia muttered. Without saying anything else, Olivia walked away followed by Jacob, Timmy, and Sebastian. Giving Zoie one last suspicious look, Nate walked off.
“I apologize on their behalf. I swear to you all that I didn’t mean for any of that to happen. Olivia’s always been very selfish in the way that she speaks. Nate’s a bit on the tough side of things as well and I sincerely apologize for his disrespectfulness.” Harry said before walking out of the cafeteria.
