Chapter Thirteen

NORMANS PROV

I waited on the ambulance as i sat with Sage holding her hand. " why did you do it Sage. You could have talked to me, you're not alone in this-" i got interupted by paramedics shouting saying they were here.

I shouted saying upstairs! Sage got rushed to the hospital and i went with her i explained what had happened and part of her past to the doctor when we got to the hospital.

I sat unpatiently in the waiting room.

"Mr Reedus" a doctor asked as I shot up from my seat and rushed over to him..

"shes in intensive care, you can see her soon." i nodded and thanked the doctor and he left me staning in the waiting room and my phone started ringing.

"what?" i snapped not in the mood i only wanted to talk to Sage.

"oh sorry dude, just wanted to see how Sage was. Ive just had a arguement with her dad" i tensed as he spoke about her dad, this is all his fault!

"shes in hospital. she tried.. tried to-" i couldnt say it.

Rooker knew what i was meaning "oh Sage.. no.. I'll be right there" Rooker hung up on me leaving me in silence.

and i thought I best phone Lauren, she deserved to know. She cared so much for Sage. Damn it Laurens phone was dead or turnt off i sighed.

I dailed Andy's number instead "hey Reedus, whats up?" he answered on the third ring.

"i'm at the hospital, Sage is in intensive care." i sighed a tear rolling down my cheek.

"wait?! what? what happened Norman. Is she okay?" I could hear people in the back ground..

I sighed again "she tried to end her life because her dad. She had so much going on and then he dropped that s**t on her.. i have so much hate for that man right now. I dont know whats happening they said i can see her soon and Michael is on his way." i replied hearing a female gasp.

He must have had me on speaker "okay, me and Lauren are on our way too." and with that he hung up.

I just started pacing back and forth until Michael walked in "is she okay" i turned looking at him

"i dont know, they wont let me see her just now." he nodded and i saw someone come up behind him, it was her dad.

All i seen was red "it's your f*****g fault shes in here!" i shouted at him and he just sighed "get out. your not getting to see her" i yelled again.

Rooker stepped in front of me as I stepped towards her dad "calm down" and before i could say anything he looked at her dad " you should leave." he said to him.

He just looked back shocked "no, im not going anywhere unless she says she doesnt want to see me." i was about to interupt him when a doctor came out.

"Mr reedus, you can come see her now" i nodded and started following the doctor "wait, doctor im her dad can i see her please?" the doctor looked at me knowing what had caused her breakdown..

"no." i said sternly not turning around "try anything and youll be next in here" i said loud enough for him to hear and started walking again.

She looked so peaceful, so pale as the sound of the heart moniter kept going off i couldnt help but notice the bandages on her arm as she had an oxygen mask on.

"Sage, i cant lose you." i let some tears escape while i held her hand. "when will she wake up?" i asked the doctor before he left.

"we arent sure. it could be up to a week" i nodded.

"can you send someone called Michael Rooker in, he was out there i need to speak to him but im not leaving and i do not want her father in here no matter what he says to you." he nodded and walked out the door and about 10 minutes later Michael walked in.

His eyes filled with tears as he seen Sage; he walked to the other side of the bed and held her other hand "oh Sage, you're stronger than this and you know it."

Silence fell through the room and i sighed "when is he leaving?" Rooke knew exactly who i was talking about

"tonight i think." i nodded not taking my eyes off Sage.

"by the way Andrew, Lauren and Jefferey is here. I'll stay with her if you want to run out and explain whats happening" i nodded and kissed Sage on the forehead and ran out trying to be as quick as possible.

"hey" i looked from them and saw her dad was still here.

"hey whats happening? is she okay? awake? what made her do it?" Lauren questioned me like mad.

I sighed "shes okay for now, not awake they dont know when she will wake up and it's his fault!" i looked straight at her father glaring at him.

"you bastard" Lauren shouted to him, she was really upset i guess they were closer than i thought.

"ofcourse im the bad one here, its my fault. but it was her decision only because i told her i was choosing her mother over her" i started seeing red again.

I lunched forward throwing myself on him, punching him in the face until Andy and Jefferey pulled me off before security came i shrugged them off

" get out of here or im going to make your life hell, ill get Michael to drive you to the airport. i dont want to see your face again" i walked away going back to Sage's room, blood on my knuckles i didnt realise until i sat down beside Sage and Michael asked me what had happened. "I couldnt stop myself. Will you go get him out of here and take him to the airport?" he nodded and left the room.

I sat as silence filled the air only hearing the beeping of the machine keeping track of Sage's heart.

I held onto her hand "Sage, I don't know if you can hear me, but I need you. We can get through this. Just wake up please.." I begged her and the heart machine let out a flat line!

I stood up shocked and ran to the door shouting for help. Doctors and Nurses came rushing in and I got pushed outside and lead along the corridor to the waiting room!

"How is she?" Andy said speaking up as Lauren had fallen asleep on the chair next to him.

"Her heart stopped their trying to bring her back, the pushed me out of the room." Tears were filling my eyes threatening to flow over.

Andy got up and pulled me into a tight hug "she's a fighter man. She'll come back" I nodded and waited as patiently as I could.

Rooker walked back into the hospital he seen my tear stained face and started to panic "is she okay? What happened?" He was running towards us and

Lauren woke up and her eyes went big as she realised what was happening "Norman answer the question" she just about shouted me.

"her heart stopped. That's all I know" I mumbled looking down to the floor trying to fight tears away.

"Mr Reedus?" A doctor asked.

I ran up to her "yes, that's me." I said panicked.

"she's stable for now. Would you like to come see her?" I nodded as I heard gasps of relief over my shoulder. I walked into the room.

How could this have happened, she came back to me this time but she might not if it happens again. I hope to god it doesn't happen again. She needs to know something. I hope she can hear me. I sighed "I love you Sage and I have since the very first time I saw you.."
